Our supposedly strong performance was more flattering because our rivals also had a weak season. Though I am not advocating a mass buy-in of impossible targets, I would definitely like some proven talent in our midfield.

Exactly , we were just saying that after coming so close the first year it only made us want it more for the next and that turned out to be THE TREBLE. We never did nor have we ever compared the '99 squad with the current one!!!

No, you didn't mention the comparission but it was highlighted as if you were comparing it. thats why i asked, thanks for clarification.

United always bounce back, unlike Liverpool. We have done it time and time again. Lets not go too far. Chelsea won two back-to-back titles under Mourinho and pundits/media/experts thought they will rock the 3rd consecutive year, but there was United and won 3 back-to-back titles. So its United way of dealing the business.

the team will always have my support , wish i could say the same for the owners

 

1 Burnley-United 1-0 (bad performance combined with bad luck)

2 Liverpool-United 2-0 (A decent performance, but a misstake cost us the game)

3 Chealsea-United 1-0 ( We were the better team, but the ref made two misstakes in a row and they got a goal)

4 United-Besiktas 0-1 ( We had already qualified so we tried a lot of young players)

5 United-Villa    0-1 ( A good game, but we just couldn't score. A lot of injuries defensivly had a huge effect)

6 Fulham-United 3-0( A bad performance due to defensive injuries again)

7 United-Leeds 1-0 ( We played poor)

8 City-United 2-1( Bad luck, but we turned the game at home)

9 Everton-United 3-1 ( Everton played fantastic so we were just second best in that game)

10 Bayern-United 2-1 ( Two silly misstakes)

11 United-Chealsea 1-2 ( A poor first half and some bad luck with the ref)

Injuries and bad luck in the games against Chealsea was the main reason why we didn't win the league.

We did lost the title race but it was by a single point. My opinion - not bad , considering our injury problems trough entire last season.

We were knocked out of the Champions League in quarter finals by our old enemy Bayern Munich becouse of referee's decision to give second yellow to Rafael. My opinion - bad luck!!! We were distroying them before that unlucky moment, but I will remember that game becouse I saw three wonderfull goals by Nani and Gibson. Of course I was disappointed at the end ,but then I remembered 1999.

Even greatest club, like we are, can't win all the time. We lost titles before and we always came back stronger next year.

I don't know about you but I can't wait next season to start.

Can't wait too see : coolness of Van der Sar , captain Neville, Evra's consistency , Hargo on the pitch , Rio controling our defence, Owen's late winners , Anderson scoring his second , Berba's touches , Rooney becoming best player in the world, magic by Giggs, hard working Park , Vidic destroying oponents, Carick's long passes, lot of Nani and his goal celebrations, Scholes's ginger hair, Welbeck becoming better and better, da Silva twins bouncing on the pitch, O'Shea's verstaillity, Evans finally nets a header , braveheart Fletcher, Valencia and his crosses, emergence of Obertan, fearless Macheda, Gibson's shooting , power of Diouf , Chicharito and  Smalling in red jersey, our joung guns( Petrucci, King, Cleverley, Keane and others) involved in first team.

I cant wait the tension before the game, lighting cigarette and shouting UNITED UNITED UNITED !!!!

Actually some "fans" have lost their minds, not "Fergie"

 Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Gourcuff, Silva or Dzeko playing for us and I hope SAF signs some big names. And of course it would be better if we won by one point but we didn't. My point was that last season wasn't that bad , wasn't a disaster , but some so called ''fans'' were saying Fergie lost it , our team is bad etc. 

Yes we only lost by one point but of course being a United fan i would have preferred to have won by one point or even on goal difference. The fact that we missed by one point and lost points, suffered 7 defeats and 4 draws also tells a story. The premiership has changed and therefore we must change with it. We don't know what the make up of each teams squads will be for next season and I will leave Uniteds to those who know better than me, SAF and Co. But whatever the outcome I will be glued to my TV for every game hoping my will and the combined will of United supporters worldwide will provide our team with that little bit extra.
