Ozil and Ronaldo are unhappy, as a condition of us taking Benzema off their hands Jose is going to throw them in as make weight in the deal.

We get Ozil, Ronaldo and Benzema, they get pictures of the last 1000 page 3 girls, 4 wads of SAF pre-chewed gum, Darren Ferguson, and a Glazer to be named later.

I also like the way you think. I also like that you stuck by him when very few else did.

Re: Ozil - Discussion Thread no GHOST BUSTERS!!

We have scored more goals per game than the 99 team and 07 team, Where does bum boy figure into all of this with regard to not letting goals in? considering he is a lazy CAM?

Well this one isn't a sticky so it should be easier for it to fall off the first page.......until some joker digs it up just to keep it on the first page.....but oh well.

perhaps i'll be that "joker" then Stick out tongue

so, a question to all the Ozil fanboys who relentlessly spammed this thread with your Ozil-loving drivel in August: looking back on what you all said about how we supposedly needed this Ozil guy so desperately, does it taste any good eating your words now that we're sitting top of the table without his alleged talent? redforlife77, specialised etc, i'm waiting Big Smile

With him we would have a more comfortable advantage to Shitty and the rest :P

sorry red yankee i ment other than owen on a free diouf and orbertan but nobody for the now. I felt orbertan was a good signing and diouf we will see and owens impact was not bad considering his injuries. i did not feel there was any body other than sneider who was worth the fee. nice to here your views on things some times other than your correctional posts lol as who is going to win an argument against you lol.i just ignore the muppets and let them argue amoungst them selfes. all the best.

I guess you are right.  But I would say that having Oezil would give us a better chance and a different dimension than Meireles.  But there is no point and arguing this now as Oezil is a Madrid player and that he will stay.  I just don't want us to add unless it is for someone truly special.

Take care, excellent discussion we had Yes

You must sometimes get a little excited about potential signings, surely?

Nope learned my lesson a looooooooooooooong time ago on that.  That is not to say I don't recognize that a player could help the team, because I do recognize that in many instances (Silva, Villa, and Ozil being three of the latest), I just remain calm if they sign then I go nuts, if they don't then they don't

Think of it this way, we both are fans of Manchester United, we both were fans last season and Ozil or Villa or Silva were not with the club.  They are still not with the club and we both still love the club as much as ever.

    ledzepman:
If we don't sign anyone now then I will be fine as it shows Fergie wants to stick with his youngens and give them a chance.  This I respect.  If we go and sign someone like Meireles I will be far from happy because he will be more expensive than Oezil, and not even as good, then I will wonder what on earth happened here.

What if we sign Meireles and win back the league?    What if we signed Ozil and then we finished third in the league?  Of course no point in what iffing anyways so don't bother anwering, lol.

    Re: SNEIJDER OR OZIL

As I said many moons ago, if Ozil had signed for United I would have been happy as I think he is a very good player.  But as everyone knows I stay on even ground about transfer rumours because the vast majority of them are rubbish.  The only time it is worth getting excited about signing a player is when he has actually signed.

Probably why I am able to move on and years after the fact not still be talking about players "we missed out on."
