Re: Poor Poor n very poor decision making Fergie!!!

    James Lee 2:

"Personally, I can't understand why no one ever mentions Johnny Evans. He's made mistakes constantly, and yet no one points any fingers at him. His positioning is ***, and his reaction time is terrible. He rarely managed to cover his man today, and the last goal went right past him. He got his window into first-team action when Rio was injured, and since Rio can't stay fit for more than five minutes, he's become a regular, even though he's barely fit to play as a second string player."

You are right Asa Sherry Evans is just not the quality for United. Problem was SAF (presuably in a conflict situation) decided two seasons ago that Evans was as good as Pique and let the latter go back to Barcelona. We now know that that was another SAF poor poor decision that's come back to haunt him. In the little we have seen of Smalling, he is not the immediate answer either; so we are left with limping with Evans in between Rio's recurring injury problems. Frankly, this weakness in central defence was noted by us fans two seasons ago but SAF obviously hasn't seen it that way.

I think the persistence over reliance on the old guards of Giggs, Scholes and to a lesser extent Neville is another poor poor decision of SAF. Sure they are still good but not to the extent of over relying on them for full ongoing games. Scholes played well but then we cannot rely on him to do so week in and week out, something's got to give. In the case of Giggs, he was a pale shadow and lost the ball countless times ... don't even want to comment on Neville and our defensive calamity.

We have the Da Silva twins to cover for Neville and Nani, Valencia, Park and Obertan to cover for Giggs but we haven't anyone to cover for Evans (as Rio isn't reliable as he has been and will be in and out of the injury list the whole season). Lets hope Hargreaves makes a miraculous recovery to provide some form of defensive midfield cover; otherwise we have a big hole that the opposition will surely exploit.

    Asa Sherry:

Gary's simply grown too slow to play in the same style as he used to. If he's going to continue playing for United, he needs to adapt like Giggs and Scholes. Personally, I can't understand why no one ever mentions Johnny Evans. He's made mistakes constantly, and yet no one points any fingers at him. His positioning is ***, and his reaction time is terrible. He rarely managed to cover his man today, and the last goal went right past him. When will Fergie address the obvious problems with defence? We don't need more midfielders or forwards, but we certainly do need two more STRONG defenders.

And I am also not impressed by Smalling...he just doesn't seem to cut it...maybe after some months of play he should be better in tune with the others like Vidic and whoever is on the left....

Re: Poor Poor n very poor decision making Fergie!!!

Lets hope that we can put Rangers to bed with a quality showing tomorrow, and come back from what can only be as described a poor choice by SAF, in the last minutes of an otherwise a Red dominated game.

If we cannot prove our worth against Rangers than the outlook does not bode well for us in the title chase, yes we do come strong towards the year end, but the Chelski have started much stronger and I cannot see them taking their foot of the gas. but bad choices cost us the title last year, we cannot allow Chelski to get too far ahead at this stage

We need some good choices by SAF and the will from our boys to turn this around.

Its so refreshing to see some posts here...none of that b_## that comes from the other posters on the other threads who claim to see nothing wrong with the team...and they say that its still early days, and that draws are normal, or that everything is fine, we start slow......while the realists among us know that chelsea is storming ahead....this game could be our Burnley from last season. short of 1 or 2 points by season's end behind chelsea.

Should better replace Giggs and Bebartov and Gibson and Park instead of Evra or even Rafael if Fergie is not happy with Evra. We have 2 goals on hand, should add more energtic guy to secure the win!

SAF lost the game 4 us, simple! Can't understand why he insists on playing neville. The guy is a joke. Any 1 remember his stupid foul against byern? And the cross 4 both equalisers came 4rm his side.

Re: Poor Poor n very poor decision making Fergie!!!

I have to agree on this one. Sir Alex just had to use the bench, if not in the 80th minute, then definitely when the injury time started, and most defintely when Cahill pulled one back for Everton. I was shocked that the manager of his experience didn't sense the danger after 3-2 and immediately made substitutions. Maybe it was that he didn't want to show United or himself fear and wanted to show he had confidence in 11 men on the pitch at that moment, but it backfired and I think Sir Alex is the man to blame for what happened.

Berbatov is pure class, he showed that again today, and I can't understand why people keep slating him.

Scholes was phenomenal, he managed to keep high level for about 80 minutes. That was when he and Giggsy should have been subbed. Moving on, but it will be another uphill struggle again.

I agree, We needed fresh legs in the mid field for the last 10 minutes. All 3 of Neville, Giggs and Scholes should not have played the full game.

We did throw it away but Sir Alex has to take some of the blame. It's easy in hind sight I know but while I was watching the game I couldn't understand why he wasn't using the bench in the last quarter of the match, with the exception of Evra's injury.

It's going to be along season.

"We were wasteful, we had chances to bury Everton but we didn't do it.  WRONG MR FERGUSON YOU DID BURY EVERTON, HOW ELSE WOULD YOU DESCRIBE BEING 3-1 UP WITH 3 MINUTES TO PLAY.  You are so self centred and pig headed not to blame yourself, you carry on blowing praise up berbatov's backside when he don't deserve it.  Just trying to justify paying such an extortionant fee for such a flop.  Start looking to see where your local post office is, as thats where you should be going each week and not to Old Trafford you silly old fool.

and B******* to anyone who disagrees.
