Im totally sick to my stomach.  IT had to be bad for the television network to say they were not showing a replay

I did not understand why Valensia was with oxygen mask?

I didnt understand it either.  He was covered by a blanket also.  Almost like the injury was so horrific, perhaps a bone sticking out of leg/ankle?

Oxygen has a calming effect and it would have been mixed with other gases to assist in pain reduction. The blanket helps to keep you warm in case of shock.

Nice to see Rio in a good form.

Again, for the last season and this one, we don't have creative midfielder beside Scholes.

Unless we bring someone in the winter transfer period, I don't think we are going to win anything.

My prayer and sympathy to Valencia

Give Rangers due credit for what they have done .Everyone knew that they did not come here to attack even before kickoff . Our midfield seriously lacked creativity without Scholes annd Gibson made the tempo slow . Majority of the passing was not creative from our side . To break down a side , you need some terrific through balls , there were none . We had 2 corners all game which showed how little of a threat we caused . Hernandez is still adjusting to the club .Valencia's injury doesn't look good though ,he may be out for a while . Its all fine to blame Rangers for being negative but if they had gone out and attacked they would have lost by atleast 3-4 goals . We simply were unable to break them down . Not the best way to start the group stages . Its still nothing to be overly fussed about , but it was worrying to see how much we missed Scholes , even in one home game against an average side , our midfield looked one-dimensional without Scholes .

Firstly let's hope the poor boy Valencia is okay, feel so sorry for the lad. That was horrific.

On the game itself, handsdown, the worstUnited performance i have ever seen in my life! They should be ashamed of themselves, they didn't try or even look like they wanted to play, considering the fact that most of the wouldn't get a starting place, you think they would want to show that they could!! Jesus Christ! I'm appalled by that game, no motivation, no passion.....'big european night' my ***!

well...what can I say yes it was a disappointing performance by united standards...but hey imo regardless whether man utd win, lose or draw some ppl will always scrutinize, now I am not talking about criticising the performance, but to use players as scape goats. I mean hell if we thrashed them ppl will say 'well they are not barcelona, or that good team anyways' if we win one nil it would be 'but we should be easily winning this game'...ppl seem to jump from one to the other and quite frankly it is getting boring. We cannot win every game, it is just not realistic at the same time I think it is far too premature to judge how the season will turn out until the final day, part of a fans job is to get behind the team through good and bad, accept it. We were poor in terms of opur passing and penetration, rangers got their tactics spot on today they pressured, isolated rooney and hernandez (how many times did rooney drop back in to midfield) they quite literally parked the bus in front of the goal today...end of..lets move on

    Generation Terrorist:

You guys are unbelievable. It seems every game United don't win 3-0 or more you go off on one claiming the end of the world. Fact is Rangers came to defend and did it very well. It is incredibly hard to break down a team set up like that. Spain couldn't do it against Switzerland in the World Cup so it's hardly down to our team selection.

Positives to take from the game: Rio was pretty much solid at the back. Rooney didn't injure himself and we didn't lose.

Horiffic injury for Valencia though. Really hope he is ok and back as quickly as possible. It hate seeing players down in that much pain.

can't wait for the comments from  people who were so sure that we've got so fantastic squad and we didn't need any signings

I wouldnt start provoking people with comments like that

With what has happend to Valencia all you are going to get is bad comments and people snapping at you.

Regardless whether we had signings or not its difficult to score against a team who basically just sit back and defend. Ie look how Inter stopped barca last season by just playing 8-1-0 formation when they had a player sent off.

I am not provoking anyone.I feel very sorry for Antonio, but i'm  so frustrated with our display,it is just pathetic, and we put Giggs and Owen to rescue us...So dissapointed with SAF recently,seriously...Our most slated players-Nani and Berba are by far our best players at the moment.

and comparing Inter to Rangers says a lot about your football knowledge...We didn't create any chances apart from few Gibson's shots, terrible.

I am not comparing Rangers with Inter. Just saying that they had the same tactics of just sitting back and preserving the score and not conceding. Tactics like that doesnt make a game interesting or even good to watch at all. Thing is all Rangers wanted was an away draw for a point. Nothing more nothing less.

We didnt really have shots and well with no creativity then its hard to make chances. Gibson seemed the only player looking for shots. Rooney was poor etc. Just a poor perfomance on a whole.

Just hope we see a different United against Liverpool.

We miss Michael Carrick and Anderson in the middle in my opinion - Our best football between 07 and 09 was played with these two in the middle. Darren Fletcher's work rate is fantastic, but he is not a quality footballer anywhere past the half way line! - you're in dream world if you're overrating him like this. The lack of creativity tonight was a disgrace. When I see a team with Nani, Berbatov, Rooney, Carrick, Anderson and Rafael I'll be happy. Youth, power, precision and quality there. Why Wes Brown is playing right-back is a mystery - his alarming lack of pace is shocking, as well as his technical ability. I'm happy for any of you to slate me, but there is nothing positive to take from this game, if you disagree, I'd like to be prescribed with whatever you're taking!

Awful! We hesitate too much in the box. Everyone just seems to want to get rid of the ball ASAP, and noone really takes the shot. We kept going down the middle, without having the creativity or speed to do so.

    Why the Fábio-Evans substitution?!?
