Re: sir is happy with this squad , would i cry ????

I think we should sign a new left back to battle Evra like Alba that would be good.Alba can battle with Evra and then when Evra retires Alba can become his long term replacement.I also think we should sign a top class midfielder like Modric Gotze etc aswell that would be good.We dont need to make wholesale changes to our squad in my opinion we just need 2 3 top class signings to make us better plus we have great young talents coming through aswell.

dont forget we were playing in the carling cup. not even the fa cup. so lets not get crazy over needing new players, but i do agree on needing to field a little stronger team...
It's a small cup, but almost half of ManUTD 1st squad quality players were there, Sir Alex was still on the bench but losing to 1st Division club is inexcusable for a club like ManUtd. I don't think we need to panic buy but It was Fergie's fault to choose inexperience/unquality players on the bench, I wish Rooney/Nani was there... It just proves Manutd's squad is so lack of deep.

Fergie should seriously rethink of building a quality/deep squad to competitive at various levels instead of saying this squad is good enough.

Fergie is having a mare. At this rate he will end up retirng on a seriously low for the club. I can't see the squad we have no competing in England or Europe. Nani and Rooney are our best attacking players... and look at how inconsistent they are. Neither of them would be near the Barcelona B team with there last 7 or 8 games. Infact, go watch Barcelona B, they have about 4 players who would get in our team. THE B TEAM. Rafinha? walks into our team, Deloufeu? he is 17 and already he'd be a starter for us.

You can cry if you want :P ...... (No offence) , & yes I agree that we should sign a midfielder who can add creativity if not in the January but definitely in Summer....

I think all we need is a good playmaker in the central of the field. With Cleverly and Ando's injuries our midfield is more defensive than it should be.

No competition should be treat as unimportant. The Carling Cup was probably our one chance of some silverware this season unless we see one or two major changes in the midfield, winning the Carling Cup is a great trophy to win because it's one Cup that is claimed before the end of the season, so the winner takes that confidence from a cup win into the rest of the season. If City get their hands on the Carling cup it might propell them towards the Premier League title
Sometimes the Carling cup satisfies the players too early in the season and is followed by a barren run (e.g. Brimingham last year).
