Rossi (Loan), Gillespie, Cole, Butt, ....Would Owen count? Or not because there was no direct deal with Newcastle?

    Magpies poser

Newcastle faced United last weekend in the Barclays Premier League with three former Reds on the Magpies' current playing staff. Danny Simpson, Gabriel Obertan and Alan Smith were the trio in question with the first two starting for Alan Pardew's side in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. This week's poser asks for players who have been involved in deals between the two clubs since the 1980s - either way. We believe there are six who fit this criteria - as well as Simpson, Obertan and Smith.
