    Re: Stephen Appiah

Your right Appiah was a great player. And he was similar to Essien. But he hasn't played a game in ages. I would like for the reason that he is free and his service even though minor would be invaluable. I still think given the chance he will be better than Carrick. I never rated the guy. Sorry. I'd Start Hargreaves, Anderson, Scholes all ahead of him. Even Possebon, unfortunate injury though. The kid has impressed me.

    Re: Stephen Appiah

All i have read so far about people's reason for Appiah is that he is a free agent. Are you guys just clamoring for his services for that reason and his past perfomances with Fernabahce and Juve ?

Appiah has been out for almost a year until his appearance as a sub for Essien in Libya, where Ghana went down by a lone goal. That being said his performance was nothing to write home about.

Appiah is done ! He  was a good player once but not today. Carrick is still one of the best and my hero, for all the work he does in the midfield.

For all the Appiah admirers and disciples, watch Ghana v Lesotho and see if you'll still want him with us.

I dont think there's any money 2 spend so the player u mentioned there would'nt be a viable road 2 take, that's not 2 say i dont fancy VELOSO as a player, jus dont think we could afford him after payin £31million 4 BERBATOV.I think APPIAH is a better idea, simply because he would come on a free transfer

    Re: Stephen Appiah

Yeah he could be good for us and like someone said on here hes free so yeah he could be a good option to give us more bite in midfield as although i really like Hargreaves this knee injury will keep disrupting his season which is a shame as hes one of the best.

I one player that i really wish that was ours is Michael Essian, what a player,The perfect replacement for Roy Keane.Hes just brilliant.I really carnt believe we missed out on him over a stupid work permit. He would of become a massive fans favourite with us by now and he loved us when we was a kid and look Chelsea then snatched him from under our noses whcih i was very pissed off about,he would of been brillaint for us but never mind,I recken deep down in his heart if we came calling we would wanna come to us.I hope we do as no-one would get past him and has one hell of a shot on him, remember that goal he scored last season from like 35 yards out with the outside of his foot breath-taking i think it was against Arsenal wasnt it.

Anyway i like the look of that guy who plays for Wigan Wilson Palacios who is brilliant aswell and hes only very young and has said he would love a move to us to yeah he would be brilliant for us and he would still have Hargreaves aswell which would be good,or what about Miguel Veloso our old target he would be good also.

    What do you guys think?

stephen appiah will be a great playmaker for us (red devils), we need such fighters to win balls in the midfield and pass it on to yhe front, just like the early days of solskjaer......the midfield was strong so he got balls from a silver platter to put it away..........

Gd player, but it's interesting to see no clubs are moving in for him even tho he's on a free transfer. Clubs like Arsenal need him more than we do, but still they are not looking to sign him...yet. Stephen Appiah is free, I'm surprised wenger is not first in the queue with his purse in hand.

Definately would be a great asset with Hargo seemingly injured alot of the time.

Would be a good player against the likes of Boro, Bolton, Blackburn, Stoke...etc and even Chelsea to an extent.

Yeahh the more you think about it becomes more appealing nice free transfer doubt he'll have big wage demands.

    Veryy Good shoutt..!!

i would'nt mind but i think we need an attacking center mid more than a defensive one when you consider we have carrick, hargreaves, fletcher and o shea all in our squad plus scholes is getting on and at the moment anderson is slightly more defensive than attacking so we should def get an attacking mid instead.

I wouldn't be opposed at all.  He is a hard worker and is always capable of a moment or two of brilliance.  He'd make a fine squad player.

they cannot find an answer for his injury.
Tendinitis isnt really somthing you can cure, it recurs a lot and will sometimes just go by itself for a while - he'll always have it but sometimes it will not affect him for long periods and sometimes it will! Its a lottery!

Trust me that is a good shout, like you said he's on a free and about Hargreaves. Hope SAF is thinking along those thoughts not just Appiah but the situation regarding Hargreaves, as they cannot find an answer for his injury.
