i find it funny that some of u dismiss cleverley as njury prone after what he did early season.utd fans are really fickle at times, this is the first season he's had, he's had 1 injury, the one caused by davies(the everton game was just a sign that he had been rushed back). the minute he comes back, i can say that all the creative midfielder threads will be gone, they werent in existance at the beginning of the season, instead i saw, "who needs sneijder, we've got cleverley", yet it took an injury to forget bout the kid. utd dont need a creative midfielder, name one team in the world that has 2 stars(which clev will prove to be) as creative centre midfielders in their team, its only madrid and barca, barca have to play cesc out of position. utd are either going to go 433 or stay 442, in both instances, a creative midfielder is not needed. the last time fans cried out for one, he turned out to be a flop because he was unneecessary and only bought as a crises signing like people say we need now. his name is veron, good player nut unnecessary. if jones plays in defence, id get a new dm, if jones plays in midfield, ten id get a substitute right back for rafael
hi mate, i have said it before and i will say it again!!...cleverley is injury prone. not only here at old traford but also on loan!... this includes other rising talents like desilvas, welbeck, anderson....so better not rely on them!

I agree with the above comment I think CLeverely has been a revelation at the start of the season and then the comment of 'he's injury prone' is hilarious and just goes to show how saft some fans are I think they are all playing Football manager and think that is hwo the REAL prem works. I do however, agree that he is still young and I dont think that immediately he will be able to compete with the likes of xavi, iniesta, alonso etc, but in time I think Cleverley and potentially Gaitan if he joins will be awesome for us. As for Carrick I get really frustrated with this lad cuz he should be a lot better than his performances are displaying, yes he had a veery good game against QPR but I have to agree that it was ONLY QPR and there have been many occasions where he has been invisible when playing the big teams. We need to invest in a young creative midfieder and with all the rumours its looking like Gaitan, because realistically our future midfield would be Cleverley, Anderson, Pogba, maybe Jones if he does not go into CB and Gaitan if he joins so we need to look to the future and Cleverley will be a pivotal member of that team,.

    Re: Thoughts?

I think Carrick played well. I also think Jones's performance was brilliant, and just shows what United could do with a top class midfield. People could say that it was only QPR but I saw too many away performances last season where so called smaller teams overran our midfield. I hope the perfomance of Jones and Carrick will finally dispell the nonsense that we create from the wings so we don't need creative midfield players. I don't know where that rubbish came from, but it is an insult to a certain player called Scholes.

I really can't see the Anderson/Cleverely partnership working against top sides...if you look at the good results when they played they were never really tested.

Yeah I agree, I just thought it was nice to see some progress from Carrick. Would love to see a new CM.

    Re: Thoughts?

He has been improving lately but we still need a midfielder no matter how well Carrick is doing, Cleverly is injury prone and Anderson isn't great we need one or 2 top quality midfielders

    Thoughts?

So we may in fact need a new midfielder, but what were you thoughts on Carrick's performance today? He's been playing a lot better in my eyes, unlucky not to score the week before and a good goal today.
