i would not go as far as to say they are the worst team in 20 years we are in my view 3-4 players short of being a very good side we need a right back the da silva twins are always injured and make to many mistakes smalling is not a right back maybe the lad from crystal palace or kyle walker some one of that stature or if you want more experienced righr back maicon of inter modric and bale and diarra of real madrid but your talking mega money which i personally believe the club does not have so were just gonna have to grit are teeth and hope this current crop of players inprove also mandy henry having a little pop at fans on mutv saying about the atmosphere at todays ground just like to say it costs alot of money to go and watch football now sometimes the fans need a peformance from the players to lift them Back to the point HAVE FAITH SIR ALEX HAS REBUILT HOW MANY SIDES IN THE PAST if we do not win nothing this year he will no what is needed

I agree we have a poor squad this season. We are not in the knock out stage of the Champion League. We were humiliated by Man City at home. We lose to the league's bottom side at home. Our reserve side lose against Crystal Palace at home in the league cup. We have one recognise central defender at this stage of the season. The makeshift players (not only in defense) are not good enough.
Not good emough.???????.....level with man city with so many injury with our key player is not good enough????
Look at our team, we are not in the champion league, lose two games against the league top and bottom sides at home, not in the league cup with our reserve. I m not sure we will win the FA cup tie against Man City. At this stage, City can buy anyone and win all of their league games until the end of the season.

I agree with you. Darron Gibson should be playing today, so that Park Ji Sung can run forward. I watched Park's interview just now. I agree with him, our makeshift defenders were not strong enough against Yakubu.

For some reason and as a die hard United fan i was begging blackburn to score a 4th!! just to see fergies face! thats how desperate i was!!
What a strange 'fan' you are. I do believe everyone else was praying for a late equaliser so we would at least have a point towards the title.

We need a central defender; someone that can play 40 games a season.

Re: the most shameful team in 20 years

I am trying to keep my head cool to give an opinion.. but today was quite embarrasing.. First thing that came to my mind when I was watching the game: Park and Rafael in midfield??? WTF? That's not "strenght in deep", that's improvisation!!!! And a very desperate one, I might add. We are dissapointly affected by injuries, I am totally aware of that, but that's just another reason to strenght the team this next window transfer.. But according SAF ideas, it seems there won't be any new signing. I read a lot about how good the new youngsters are, but I don't see them playing with the first team at all? I also had a very bad feeling when I knew thle line-up and the subs because the truth is that we heavily rely on Giggs and Rooney but none of them were available today. Besides that, I felt the players took the game for granted just because it was Blackburn, bottom of the league. EVERY GAME COUNTS!! Nani was totally rubbish today and never did a good pass or cross.. Berbatov gave away a stupid penalty and De Gea was shamely poor on the 3rd goal... If City are to be champions this season, so be it.. But at least we should keep pressing until the end and not give them gifts like we did with today's game. If we end with 1or 2 points behind City scum, this would be the game I blamed for, not even the 6-1 trashing, because today we were not outplayed like it happened vs City, but we never showed the United spirit we should always have, no matter what team is in front. PD. Please stop the "glory hunter" trash, we are all United fans and we all will keep cheering for the mighty United no matter what happens, but sometimes things can be very dissapointing and if there's a place where we can express ourselvesis here, no matter if we dont agree with everyone.

Re: the most shameful team in 20 years

Surely this is not the best team we have had in the recent years but this is part of the foorball game. No team can be on top all the time. All the results mentioned left a bitter taste, it was hurtful for me to see City win 6-1 against us, it was awful today, but why should I be ashamed to be a fan? Why should anybody? Are we not the current champions? Haven't we already improved the record of Liverpool for the number of titles? In fact, I am proud to be a fan of Manchester United. Today couldn't possibly change a thing. Shock results are part of the football. And even part of our history - all the time, not just this season or the last seasons. Do you remember in 1996 losing 0-5 to Newcastle, and just a week later 3-6 to Southampton? We coinceded 11 goals in just two games but finally came back with the title. And remember the season 3 years ago? We lost twice to our main rivals for the title, Liverpool, at home it was a really embarassing 1-4 defeat in the second half of the season. But again, finally, we were the champions. In fact, this is an important part of the United spirit. With SAF we do not always win our titles being the best team in the league all the time. We have won some of these titles being the best team in the moments when it mattered most. And we are going to win it again this year, I really believe it! But even if I am wrong and we have a season without a trophy, I am still going to support the team - and I think that any real fan will. Have a nice and successful 2012!

Have to agree with you. There is some babies on the forum.calling for Sir Alex to go after one loss ,we are JOINT TOP,We have enough injuries to field a side in the premership. There is no way some of the people are true united supporters,Its not just wins that make a team, its the losses as well, its the experence the team take from a loss, the feeling of what its lkie, the crash back down to earth. We will learn from this but they need the support through not just the wins but mostly when we lose.It makes me laugh, when we win its"we"but when we lose its them. They were awful they played s**t!!!
one loss?? lol, ohh i think u have alzheimer idiot! wasnt out of CL, carling, 1-6 defeat a lost??? ooohh u just remembered right??
Mate, have a good, hard look at yourself before you go calling other people idiots. The only team ahead of us in the league are also out of the CL. That same team is also the only reason we aren't cruising to the title right now. We've been brilliant this season. 45 point at this point in the season is usually enought to be well clear of the chasing pack.

    NO ONE wins every game.

As much as I dont agree with you being called an idiot, you must understand the frustration that some of us feel! Fergie is 70 years old! He's done well and brought us far,but shouldn't we be thinking about replacing him? We all know that you can win them all,but losing to Blackburn at this time, just because of poor team selection and stubborness to make the buys the team needed in the summer? And by the way, on paper, everyone knew that City's group in the UCL was a group of death! There is no way on this earth that our UCL group should be mentioned as anything remotely resembling that group! If you think we are brilliant,I beleive we should be WAY better than this!
