If Utd win the league, it goes to show how pathetic the EPL is.

Hey, at least you show some faith that United is still caplable of winning it.

The OP's is a completely reasonable opinion. A few weeks ago, there were literally hundreds of posts on here from people who openly admitted they would be happy for us to go 1-2 seasons trophyless if it meant giving young players a chance and blooding them for a future team. How is this any differet? The hypocrisy is shocking..

Sir Alex will never react until he sees negative results, that's what weakens the team, why wait for the team to fade when you could just maintain its strength. Look at Barca for instance, They sure as hell didn't need signings but they still made signings anyway, to maintain the team
Just because Barca do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

And do you honestly believe that the signings that they've made will properly replace their current players. Xavi and Iniesta are two of the greatest midfielders to ever play the game, and as good as the likes of Thiago and Fabregas are, they'll never even come close to Xavi and Iniesta IMO. And who's going to replace Puyol and Abidal? Those will be massive shoes to fill as well.

Try as hard as you want, no team will stay at the top forever. You only need to look back at the late 90's and early 2000's. Real Madrid were dominating European football, and they spent rediculous sums trying to stay at that level, but they were still knocked off their perch.

Yes, eventually they will drop. But they are trying to maintain it as long as possible, and we should have done that.
Don't you think we are trying to maintain it? There are different ways to go about it. Back to my first point, just because Barca do something doesn't mean it's the best thing. SAF has his own plan, and has shown in the past that his plans nearly always work.

Unfortunately getting anything out of this season is looking highly unlikely, just far too many bad arrogant decisions by SAF, it's just so hard to believe with all that experience that he keeps repeating them. He just keeps trotting out the same excuses, and doesn't really shoulder any of the responsibility at all. All very hard to bear totally cheesed off.

i REALLY HATE to say this but city might win the title and united will struggle to compete with city's strength in depth this season and its showed today, no strength in depth and players playing out of position and thats why blackburn exploited that!
Totally agree with this. I am sick of all the excuses that we have injuries. Thats the whole point of having strength in depth to cope with injuries, which we clearly do not have.
Mate, there is a 25 man squad limit, and we have 10 players injured. We have enough players in every position to cope with all but the most insane injury crisis.

In our squad we have 3 Keepers, 5 players who can play right back, 5 recognised centre backs, 2 left backs (and another up and coming one), 4 Right wingers, 7 players who can play in midfield, 3 left wingers (and quite a few strikers that can play on the wing), and 8 strikers. And those are only the ones who have been playing regularly at some point this season.

How well do you think City would fare with 2 injured centre backs, let alone 4. What about if they also had 3 injured midfielders, and another one had to play centre back. You'd need a 40 man squad to be able to comfortably cover for the amount of injuries we have now,

What's the point trying to tell the truth with the moderator picking out the comments he don't like even without bad language, the truth hurts these people. filter this one.

We will win the title but he has to sort out the midfield problem ok we have had a lot of injuries of late but to hear him talk is we have a good enough squad to cope but the point is we haven't until we get at least 2 top players in next month and he should know that but really i think that is what he would like to do but the trouble is the money is not there at the moment
