There's a player there, goes by the name of Ryan Giggs, who's an absolute living legend and he's being put through the embarrassment of having to play in central midfield at the age of 38 because those f.u.c.k.i.n.g leeches wont cough up and buy the world class player that is NEEDED to replace him. Giggs really struggled tonight and it's just unbelievably sad that we are still relying on this once truly amazing footballer for creativity. Ryan Giggs should have been replaced 3 or 4 years ago with another world class player, he, more than anyone, doesnt deserve the embarrassment of watching average players run rings around him....Its even worse because the players running rings around him wouldnt have laced his boots all them years ago.

But lets face it, he's playing because this midfield we have that Fergie refuses to address is incredibly poor. 3 or 4 years ago it should have been a case of "thanks Ryan, thanks for the brilliant memories and enjoy your retirement, you deserve it" but no its "will you stay for another year, we need you, we've no money to replace you and your really all we've got in midfield". Its pathetic.

Defensively i understand Vidic is a massive loss for us, he's an absolute colossus of a player for United but his return wouldnt fix what needs fixing. United need a proper captain for starters, a Roy Keane or a Bryan Robson, someone who will tell the other players in no uncertain terms if they arent pulling their weight. I mean c'mon, Patrice Evra captain? Thats a joke in itself. I love this club with all my heart and soul but i'm really passionate about this. Some of the players have stopped performing and havent been for a long time. Too many players are being carried and too many are looking around waiting for someone else to do something, hence why we need a leader of men.

What United needs is an injection of quality, players with flair and aggression. Not players for the future, they need quality and experience right now. Trouble is those type of players cost money and as we all know that goes against our current transfer policy, a policy which translated means we havent got a pot to p1ss in.

Credit to Sir Alex that United are only 3 points behind City, that in itself is a minor miracle at this point.

When I went to the games (used to have a season ticket but haven't for a good few years) the lads I went with praised players that played well and slated the ones who were poor ( Djemba and Kleberson were usually the butt of most ire) I don't see the problem with that. I want United to win every game, even though I know that that feat is impossible, and I'm gutted for a day or so when we get beat. I don't understand fans who just say 'we lost, so what, move on it doesn't matter'. When we get stuffed by a shite geordie side it matters to me. If you found your missus with the next door neighbour would you just shut the bedroom door quietly and pretend nothing ever happened...would you ***. Sometimes United getting stuffed is worse:-) We will never stop being fans.

I agree. After the DDD(derby day disaster) I didn't think about city winning the title but about if even the shitiest players will want to come to us.

that was a terrible performance no spirit in this side at all..if we play like that against city on sunday it'll be 6-1 again i've been supporting united since 1985 and i can honestly say this is the worst man united team ive ever seen.

Look, I would call myself one of those fans who dont usaully get on players backs to often because i realise its a mighty long season. I 100% agree that this united team is not up to standards of recent legendary teams and thats unfortunate, but to be fair we are a team in transition, we are a team plagued by tragic injurys to key players and we are a team who are in and out of form more often than Owen Hargreaves is in and out of the treatment room....... but look, we have so many things to be positive about, a fantastic manager, great stadium, great spirit and an unmatchable history, and as long as we have all of these things then we will have a fantasic future aswel...so lighten up a bit, were a great team who with a kick up the ass and a bit more quality added , can be an exceptional young team

I wouldn't blame the manager for points lost but repeatedly find myself amazed at what he can achieve with limited resources. He has built up the club to be one of the most successful in the world and with the highest revenues from combined football + commercial activities. I think interest on the Glazer debt burden has sucked out the profits generated by SAF's lifetimes work each year denying him the opportunity to replace players on a timely basis. Really, the squad should not be looking to replace Scholes, Keane, Neville, Ronaldo, Van der Sar and prepare for the departure of Giggs + Ferdinand and provide back-up players for most positions all in a short period of time as is happening now. If since 2005, the 40 - 70 million profit per year was available for new signings, the club could have been building the best team ever assembled without making a loss. Fingers crossed the IPO goes ahead this year.
