RedVariant:So all we need to do now, is to pay over the odds for a player which would demand a regular spot in the lineup and in doing so, inhibit the growth and development of cleverley, morrison and pogba. Not to mention, we might not even win the title and if we do, we might not have needed him. And the deal would probably involve doubling or tripling his wages and destroy the entire wage structure we have in place here. But hey, Midfield Problem Solved!!!!!!
We may have to pay over the odds but Modric would be an excellent long term (5-6 years) acquisition. As good a servant as he has been, Ryan Giggs can't go on forever and someone will be needed to fill his CM role. Morrison and Pogba are not getting into the team as it is, therefore it tells me Fergie doesn't trust them enough to put them into the first squad right away. I believe they will go out on loan next season, and it could be 2014 before they become first team regulars, eventually taking the places of Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher. People also forget that in a good season we could play around 60 matches. All our midfielders have the potential to get plenty of matches.
