In all fairness, it felt amazing watching him come on but he looked slow/laboured. He was taking too many touches on the ball, his passing was terrible in places & just looked a yard of the pace in general. If he can gain that bit of match sharpness then he may well become a masterstroke by SAF.

I'm not against him coming back, but surely he gota train with the first team n get upto speed before considerin him for selection. Pitching him in straight away against city of all teams! Nearly backfired and was unfair on Paul, its hard enough for the young pros to live with city midfield and to expect scholesy to do it in his first game back, was wrong in my opinion.

The bringing back of Paul Scholes is no different to that of Thierry Henri some people need to get their head round it who can we get or who is available, we know we would like moderic or schneider but its not goiing to happen till the end of the season, we happen to have had bad news with injuries and PS is only a short cover plan to a problem. We know our squad is needing a boost of several big additions and these have to be class signings which in these economic times are going to take a while to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PATIENCE! PATIENCE! PATIENCE!

just wait and watch...this might be the masterstroke by sir alex...who said he will play every game..just a cover for our brittle midfield..now we have to play fa cup, premierleague and europa league..so adding a player not bad instead of buying a plaster player in january....

Irrespective of whether Paul Scholes HIMSELF wanted to come back, the fact that the manager actually brought him back, shows with ABSOLUTE CLARITY how short of real quality we have in centre midfield. Paul Scholes is not the answer !!!!! I cannot see how Scholes's return could give anyone a lift, his legs had gone last season. What does his return tell Paul Pogba ?? This is just further evidence that Manchester United urgently TWO quality centre midfield players !!!!

Oh yeah he gave the team a huge boost alright Einstein, specially on Aguero's goal... but he's not the one to blame but SAF's for playing him at such crucial time.
