I would disagree. Yes he has done it and did it well... However Rooney isnt the same player he once was... He has evolved and hence he thrives in that free role we give him.. We all saw tonight that as a lone striker Rooney doesnt work anymore, he drops back to get involved and no one is ahead of him.

First of all that more less is a 4-3-3...Second of all we just didn't have the players to compete with Bilbao, They were the superior team throughout the two legs because of the way they played there football, They keep the ball like Barca do. We need players who can defend against that and we just don't, Carrick can't defend against 2 attack minded midfielders on his own, Park isn't a Ball Winner & Cleverley just suffered from inexperience & a bit of class in there tonight. Fletcher would have been a great bonus for us to have but we don't, We need a player like Tiote in there ATM until Flecther comes back to provide competition & allow Pogba time to develop...A player i don't even know which way he plays, don't see him as a CDM or a CAM. Martinez would be a unreal signing but then again its highly unlikely we will pay 25-40 Million for him so we may look else where for that similar type of player, As well as us needing that classy sort of Attack Minded CM or CAM, Hazard is an option as well as Eriksen but unfortunately we likely won't be able to afford them either soooo...Sorry for the rant lol

We just werent good enough simple as that.We deserved to lose and get knocked out in my opinion we were completely shite simple as that.It didnt matter what formation we played we were totally outclassed in every department simple as that.I dont care if i get slated on here im only being honest.

This was a 4-5-1 understand this

You can't base this on this match...... Of course it's not going to work with Park, Giggs and Carrick in midfield...... That's the worst midfield we could possibly come up with..... And then playing Cleverley on the wing, were he looked out of place...... With better and more creative players on the midfield Rooney wouldn't have to drop down that deep, and could focus on scoring goals with all the great chances created from the midfield......

It causes to many problems, for instance Rooney plays too deep, and we aren't natural in a 4-3-3. Forget about the loss tonight, because its currently the 72th minute as im writing this, and furthermore it looks like we've lost this. So, if anyone posts ANYTHING regarding a 4-3-3 with the likes of Gotze, Hazard etc, than I will refer to this. I've said this all along but people want to follow what works on Fifa (im NOT meaning everyone when I say this, but there is a small minority.) If your going to make a post regarding a team, think the formations we use most are: 4-4-1-1, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1. We occasionally play a 4-3-3 but, don't base a team around it.

And this is why we are losing in the Europa league to a team which is 7th in a supposedly weak league. Yeah you're real smart!
