Never afraid to admit when we've been beaten by the better team and that certainly happened over the course of the two legs. Just want to say what a credit to football Atheltic Bilbao are; a good team with an excellent mentality, backed up by some of the best supporters I've known. Not only the atmosphere, but the way in which they applauded Giggs and Rooney's goal was something to admire. Now unlike everybody else, I'm not calling for wholesale changes, it's been a disappointment - but we've had plenty of those in the past, the main thing is to learn from it. There is one change that needs to be made however - we need a decent No.2. I'm fed up of watching Phelan bite his nails or picking his nose on the bench, he never really had that much going as a player and he certainly doesn't as a coach. If I could boil down everything that's gone wrong this season I would put the blame firmly on his shoulders, we need somebody like Queroz, Kidd or dare I say it... even McLaren back.
