We need 2 Midfielders, A Defensive Midfielder or a CM/Play-maker, and a Winger or an Offensive/Attacking Midfielder

Then Loan Petrucci, Keane and Tunniliffe to low premier leugue teams, and for signings i would go for Martinez (to replace scholes), Hazard (to replace giggs) and with the money from the sales I would go for Eriksen. Yes Carrich has been one our best players this season but its not really a suprise.

He clearly is good enough, his stats, apperances and honours prove that.

I would rather have Javi Martinez than him...we STILL lost and you can still find positives... you irritate me.. I don't think we need 4. I'd be very happy with 2 CM's in or coming to their prime. With Carrick, Cleverley and Pogba in rotation. With his injury problems, I'm starting to wonder if Ando will ever reach a good enough level, and as the OP says, we can't rely on Scholes and Giggs forever, no matter how good they are. Fletch would be a 6th CM which I think is enough, and assuming he can get some good health.
