No, he is not what I would class as a winger if im honest, I would class him as a wide midfielder and in terms of that I cant think of too many who do it better, I wont lie I was never his biggest fan but this season he has been unbelievable his goal/assist return for starts is nothing short of world class, i would go as far to say had he not been injured for large periods of the season and he would of performed on a similar level he is now he would probably would win the player of the year award. lets hope Nani or Young or both can get some form wide left and then the strikers will literally just have to tap the ball in.
Wide-midfielder? Valencia is the definition of a winger... and you're usually one of the sensible posters!
A wide-midfielder is a player who hugs the touchline and gets crosses into the box he also tracks back, a winger is a player who is much more attacking cuts inside would prefer to score but also will create goals and stay forward more often that not.. I think a wide-midfielder sounds more like Valencia... Nani and Young are more like Wingers.

He is definitive underrated in Fifa, haha No seriously he is the best at the moment. In his current form he is. I always thought that Robben & Ribery are good players but were overrated a bit. I am watching the Bundesliga from time to time and Antonio beats them both easily. Generally I think Manchester United players are underrated a bit, I notice that when I talk to afew friends here in Germany.

Cristiano Ronaldo's better than Messi, messi's about pass, run, recieve and score,Ronaldo on the other hand's the total package.they r both forwards tho,not wingers,Valencia's a good winger probably one of the best

I love his style, pace and work rate. I also believe he is the best at the moment and if he remains fit for another 2 years I bet he will be competing against other world's greatest!

1st of all 4rm the players you named, only di maria is a winger.nani cnt b considerd a winger coz he likes to cut in and shoot, botomline, nanis terible.you guys go on nd on about ronaldo coz he scores so many goals in la liga bt only an idyat wud compare la liga 2 prem league.dnt 4get dat ronaldo only managed to score 19 goals in d league in his last season 4 utd so even rooney has playd beter nd not 2 4get rooneys passing is simply majestic nd d reason of ronaldo scoring so many goals is mourinho nd even if ronaldo is beter,id stil choose both rooney nd valencia over him.robbens a gr8 playa no doubt bt valy stil eclipses him.utd have been on fire ever since valy returnd to form nd he wud probably b utds playa of d season if not scholes or rooney.di maria is gud bt a wingers job is 2 give in inch perfect crosses nd althou the master of crosses is giggs, valencia is very very close nd 1 day wil be cherishd as much as giggs

I was never his biggest fan but he has been OUTSTANDING. I really hope he keeps it up. I still feel if he came up against a team that are as tacticly acute as Barca, then he would struggle, but hey, thats only about 2% of the teams we are going to play

Better than Robben, Munain, Hazard - given his work rate too, quite possibly

I agree, but Nani is better one or two games in the whole season. He is not consistent for that reason I do NOT think Nani is better.

Why do people hype a player so much that you get to wonder whether people know how to analyse the game.I'm a die hard manu fun but Valencis is not the best winger in the world. He is right up there but certainly not the best.Even in United,Nani is a better Winger.I think that has been the problem especially with the media in the UK.They hype players so much and put so much pressure on players that at the end of the day,the players donot perform on the pitch.Good example is the English team which for me never leaves up to all the hype around its players. They compare Rooney to pele and messi and say how is a better player than these two.Ehhh...........It amazes me.
