Evans has confidently catered for the loss of Vidic nearly the whole season alongside Rio and Carrick has improved a lot and is now showing maturity in his game!

Jon’ had a drop in confidence after having a bad year when he got bullied in a few big games. He’s taken his chance this season and played his way into form and now looks comfortable in the shirt. In regards to Carrick, I’ve made my opinions clear time and time again on what I think of his ability.

So the criticism motivated them to play better. Good to know because often on this forum we can't say one critical word or risk being called a "glory-hunter".
You must be a glory hunter :D Only joking.

Whether dribbling or sprinting Ryan can leave the best defenders with twisted blood

the change of views are not strange on this boards, followed by letters with public apology for certain player

some of the critics were justified, some of them were just overreactions

the most important things is that players responded on all those media and panic among some small group of members in perfect manner

just 7 games to go, one by one ... just focus, nothing else matters

PREMIER LEAGUE IS ALL ABOUT MANCHESTER UNITED WHILE OTHERS ARE FIGHTING FOR LEFTOVERS

I agree they have both performed very well this year. I think both of them struggle with confidence at times. Especially after a bad performance it seems to take them a few games to shake it off. The most recent example I can think of were the couple of games after Evans sending off against City. Since then he has been great.

Yes, Carrick & Evans have both stepped up their game, no wonder Johnny won player of the month of March. They received a lot of criticism, but responded by improving their games. At the moment both are an integral part of United's starring 11.

For probably 2 seasons, Carrick and Evans have been inviting huge amounts of criticism from Utd supporters on this forum.. But this season I believe both of them are a big reason that Utd is in the position it is.. Much improved performance from both... What say guys??
Carrick IMO has always been good enough for United but Evans has matured very quickly into a reliable defender the run of games has helped him also.Interesting to see what Sir Alex does when Vidic is back next year.

I agree. They've grabbed the challenge with both hands. This is their time!
