Good work. Thanks. The very vague title of the thread threw me off from finding it.

I just wanted to ask, there a club I think in denmark that is sort of Uniteds daughter club. Does anybody know the name of the club, its been bugging my for quite a while and my research has yeilded no results. We send a couple on loanees there sometimes. Please and thank you.

What you are thinking of could be FC Twente.

Here is a link to an article that explains the link to United:

You nailed it Issy, that's it.. Below is a link to the article that I read a while ago that gave me the information. Hopefully the person who was asking yesterday finds this thread.

I think it might be FC Twente as the feeder club. They currently have a Brazilian lad called Gladstony on loan from Desportivo Brasil.

Thread asking about "daughter club" from yesterday

Yesterday I was reading a thread that someone had started, asking if Manchester United had a daughter club in Denmark or something of that nature. It was after 5pm EST, so I could not reply. Nobody had given the answer that I know the guy was searching for and I can't find the thread now because some @ssclown has undoubtedly reported it for no reason.

Anyway, I don't quite have the answer, but to the person who posted that thread, I know what you're talking about and can at least give a vague answer. What you're thinking of is that United has a relationship with some club in South America, that has a relationship with some club in Denmark or something. The South Americans get shipped to the club in Denmark (or wherever it is) so that they can work toward meeting requirements that would allow them to get visas to live/play in the UK down the road. I believe these players are younger teens.

Like I said, it is a vague answer but it gets you on the right track at least. Now that I've got it started others might remember the finer details.....

I don't think we have one in Denmark.. we have "Royal Antwerp of Belgium and Molde of Norway" and Deportivo Brasil of Brasil obviously

    Is it Brondby?
Thats where Schmicheal was signed from but I do not remember any players going on loan there, I might be wrong. Plus Rene Mulesteen (spelling) came from there and a player we let go signed for them. Something Howard, sorry can not remember his first name

Never heard of a tie up with a team in Denmark, we have brought several players from over there though Schmeichel and Lindegaard being the most high profile. Have a look at this article http://www.rednews.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?116883-30-Andy-Mitten-looks-at-the-continued-tie-up-between-Manchester-United-and-Royal-Antwerp

There's Royal Antwerp of Belgium and Molde of Norway who the club have quite a close relationship with, as far as I'm aware I don't think there's anyone in Denmark that we have any ties to.
