    Re: Mancini's mind games....

he tried. did they work? no. we were just *** and his so-called mindgames make no difference. Had he f@rted we'd be saying his f@rt was a mind-game and it worked wonders. Matter of fact is, this is all press mumbo jumbo. Barring anything stupid (like the rafa list) these are ineffectual. Inevitably though, when every word from either manager is interpreted as a mind game, one is going to be perceived to have worked at the end. Mancini's words were only directed at relieving pressure off his team. it is easier to play without expectations. has nothing to do with our ***results.

Yes he did. First he said we will win the league. Then he said we are out of it. Too make us believe that everything is done and make us to take everything for granted. So easily to read that mind games.

    Re: Mancini's mind games....

He seems to have done a Fergy - on Fergy. Never thought I would see the day. Seriously though, what should have been a rudimentary title run-in has now become a really difficult situation. 3 wins now required I think. I don't know what is going through the players minds right now. Complacency maybe ? Wins against Wigan and Everton should have been easily achievable(no disrespect to either team), especially today.

    Mancini's mind games....

Have they worked? For a number of weeks now, Mancini has been incredibly defeatist in his post-match/pre-match interviews, repeatedly saying that the title was over, ever since they lost at Arsenal. Back then, the difference was 8 points, then whittled down to 5, then now down to 3. Yet, each time, he has still said it is "over". Now firstly, I believe he is telling his players in the privacy of their dressing room, the EXACT opposite. To fight on. But in front of the media, he is spinning this story that the title race is finished, knowing full well, Utd players are probably watching. I hope this isn't true, seeing as we have a team of experienced players, and I'm sure SAF, with all of his years experience, will have told the players not to listen. But I honestly feel that by Mancini saying this, an air of complacency has entered our players mind, thinking that the title is wrapped up, and that's why they haven't performed as of yet (Villa game aside). But the Wigan loss, and the drawing with Everton, after being 4-2 up, with 8 minutes remaining, shows that I believe, Mancini's words have got to them. Anyway, does anyone agree, that Mancini's mind games has worked? Or is it something else entirely?
