Re: Shinji Kagawa on his way to Old Trafford?

If we sign either of these guys then it cud only b for left wing really as rooney is too crucial in that role to move. He scores 30 goals from support striker and does tireless work all over the pitch, both these things are things that hazard and kagawa wont/can't do. We dnt need a support striker/attacking mid cos its the 1 position we have cemented.

For the first time I think a rumor on this forum could be true. Following the German media in the past couple of weeks, I got a good feeling about this.

Re: Shinji Kagawa on his way to Old Trafford?

Skysports are reporting that dortmund have given Kagawa a monday deadline to sign his new deal to stay at the current german champions and league leaders. The rumours look like they could be true. I think he would be a class signing for man utd, however i would prefer Hazard i just dont see that happening, sir alex would not get into a bidding war with the likes of city and chelsea, so kagawa whos contract expires in 2013 is a much more realistic target plus is more of a central midfield player. Lets hope this is just another made up story.

He is a class act and at £15m, in todays market, we would have ourselves a bargain.

At 15mill he is an absolute bargain! I have watched quite a few Dortmund games this season and everyone raves about Gotze but I personally think Kagawa has been the better player this year.

If we was to sign him and Hazard I definitely wouldn't say no.

Would be nice to see him in a Red shirt next year.....Especially getting a player for a lot less than he's actually worth!

I hope this ...erh...rumor come to fruition. He is the versatile attacker beside...erh...James Rodriguez best suited for United. All we need now is Modric and maybe Clyne and it will be the best United summer.

Got to agree, he's well worth a cameo, and I do think he should be sold in the summer (do a Sheasy/Wes with him and let him leave for a small fee that will gurantee a good deal for him).
Yeah it's the least he would do for him I'm sure. Legend is an under statement but many will disagree just because he hasn't set the world alight with stepovers bla bla bla. a true United great IMO and everything that sums up the typical United player, and also a great role model. Will be sad to see him go for sure. More so than Wesley hahah!

Got to say this is hell of a lot more believable than Hazard at the moment after SAF's comments mid week. There has been very little mentioned about Kagawa and that is the way United work.

With Park looking like he is getting ever closer to the exit door, is Shinji his replacement in terms of Far East interest? Hmm lets hope so!! And for that price, wow what a steal.

Is Bild a respectable source or what?

Well, in Germany they are usually well informed and yes I'd say they are more or less a reliable source. I mean it's well-known that Dormund wants to renew Kagawa's contract for quite a while but Kagawa has refused it so far. So definitely he's checking his options, and at United he'd earn double the money Dortmund would exspectedly pay him..
Well in his position you really would be checking your options. The good thing about him is though is isn't whoring himself around Europe like Hazard, if indeed his is stalling on a new deal it's been done in a much more profesional manner something typical of United players.

Also, there hasn't been much flying around about other possible suitors for him or I have I missed these? No doubt there will be City links pretty soon

According to Bild Chavs are also interested but he prefers us.

Bild is much closer to The Times and The Independent when it comes to football news, only then as far as I'm aware.

It's basically a tabloid, but it doesn't have TheSun's and Fail's love for the made up story. They print usual tabloid stuff but I'm yet to see them making up ***. True about Kagawa and Park, might as well point out thhat the former is a far superior player than Park ever was (coming from a Park fan).
Nice one mate, I've never heard of em before but good to hear they don't follow in our press' fashion. Who knows then maybe there is something in it.

Oh god yeah, without a doubt Kagawa is far better than Park ever could have been. I love Park and all he has done for the club, he will go down in history but his time here is almost over. Hope to see him one more time if he leaving in the summer. I'm sure SAF will give him a cameo goodbye at least.
