Re: Kagawa and Hazard ? or will we just sign one ?

If Kagawa can play in a 2 man midfield than maybe SAF would sign both. However, I feel we need more of a defensive midfielder rather than a creative one, to rotate with Carrick.

    LOVE YOU SIR ALEX!!

Re: Kagawa and Hazard ? or will we just sign one ?

I've been hoping for Kagawa since last January when the rumors of our interest started! As much as I like Dortmund and what they are doing there I just think Kagawa to United makes too much sense. Let them keep Goetze and their other young German stars but a move for Kagawa is a fantastic and realistic option for us. Fingers crossed that we do indeed firm up our interest and get a deal done early!

Re: Kagawa and Hazard ? or will we just sign one ?

I have read on here about people comparing Kagawa to Park and I have to say I don't think there is much similar about them. Don't get me wrong the work rate is similar but other than that I just can't see it.

Kagawa is a very skilful and talented playmaker who creates and scores goals which in all fairness Park doesn't. Park is an engine and gives you the work rate and does the dirty work in most games and of course chips in every now and again with goals and assists. I think he has been a fantastic servant for us and I am a big fan of his but he just isn't the same player as Kagawa. I would still keep Park as a squad player as he offers an option.

I think that Kagawa would be a great signing for us and I hope we make a move for him, especially at 12-15mill it would be a steal.

kagawa £15m creative playmaker in a 2-man midfield, £30m attacking midfielder/WINGER - SAF buys eden hazard and clyne £6-8m
Can't see Kagawa playing in a 2 man midfield.
If it is David Moyes then I congratulate him and feel sorry for him How can you follow the impossible

Another thing is due to his nationality he'd bring in lots of money like park did. Would be a sensible investment imo.
This is exactly why it could be far more likely to see Kagawa here in the summer.

The Glazers, like em or not, are certainly savvy when it comes to business and Kagawa is a prospect that would have them salivating. He would be the perfect vehicle/signing in the summer to launch their part floatation of United on the Far East market.

Add to that the fact that he seems to tick so many of the boxes of both the owners and the managers usual check-lists - He's young so has resale value - good value due to short remaining contract - a marketing dream in the Far East, arguably even better than Ronaldo in fact - footballing wise is as good as any of the other options - great work ethic - and if reports are to be believed, United would be his dream move, so he would be coming here for all the right reasons.

That's all SAF's and the Glazers wishes in one player it seems so I can see this one being far more likely than anyone else previously mentioned.

Like Brittain also says, as do others, if we can get him for half the price of a Hazard it gives us some scope to invest in other areas like a more defensive biased midfielder and cover at left back maybe.

Interesting read, he would be a great signing and for the price a bargain too. If we do get him how do you think we'll set up mate?
Hard to tell, he's not a 4411 winger, but maybe a more fluid attacking midfield of him, Nani and Rooney behind Welbeck? All I know is that pass and move in a team with these 4+Cleverley could be brilliant.
Fully agree with that mate it would be great to see, we'll just have to see see how it pans out but I can see him being our type of signing.

And how exactly would we be able to fit Nani, Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Hazard, Rooney, Welbeck and Chicha while giving them all enough games? Be realistic people.

Apparently BVB's sporting director said he rejected the contract offer and that he wants to move to the UK.
you got a source or anything mate? Hope this is true he's really come of age this season and has been their most influential player which is saying something. Dk if he'd be able to play in a 2 man midfield, Dortmund frequently experiment do it's hard to tell but if we could get him and any one of Martinez, Strootman or M'Vila that'd be brilliant. Another thing is due to his nationality he'd bring in lots of money like park did. Would be a sensible investment imo.

thanks mate. As you said he'd be an excellent signing, can see Dortmund charging more than £15 million though, even with a year left on his contract.
No problem mate. Can't see them having too much bargaining options considering the contract situation. They need to replace him, and although they're financially secured they're not exactly rich. They just paid 10m for Reus, with the possibility of extra 7m by the end of next season, and the money they get from selling Barrios will go towards another striker. So they have to sell him this summer if they want money for a replacement, and in order to do that they'd need to meet the club of his choice somewhere in the middle.

Id love to see both Kagawa and Hazard here, and I think its VERY Possible.. Hazard's buyout clause is 35million and Kagawa's price tag is around 12 million so both of them together for 47, I'd take them.. both very good and very young players at just 21 and 23 years old with a lot of potential.. on the other hand I know most people want Martinez but last week I found out his buyout clause was 32 million!! when all of us were rating a bid of about 20 million or so, but 32 million for a DM i'm not too sure about that
Yeah I knew his buy out clause was €40 million, he personally admitted he's not worth it (even though he is imo), so hopefully that'll bring it down a bit. With Kagawa Dortmund will want £20 million for him tbh. I know there's only a year left on his contract but he's had a sensational season, he's been their best player IMO, more so than Gotze that's for sure.
