play Berbs to score another "useless" 5 goals more

NO ... "I'd rather him score one goal every game, scoring five is not important" .... Oh wait ... BUT THEN we lose the title on goal difference this year.

    WHAT NOW?

And yet this season we scored more than the last one, go figure.
And yet, it might not be enough - go figure....

And ... Berba scored more goals last season when we ACTUALLY won the title than Welbeck has this season. Go figure! Losing the title to City is JUSTICE for Berba.

Well done! 9 years more exprienced than Welbeck and all he has to show for it is 9 goals more while also starting 6 more games. Go figure.

    Errrrrrr .... NO!

We're going to lose the title on goal difference, or in other words, because players like "Welbeck" did not score enough and just isn't good enough. On the other hand, Berbatov did score enough last season despite being benched for 1/4 of the season, and we ultimately WON the title. .... GO figure!

And when City lift the title GO figure!

Interesting......last year Berba's goals supposedly didn't matter and those who hate him explained them away as unnecessary as if a good goal difference was somehow meaningless. This year it's all "go Danny" when the lad hasn't even scored 10 league goals AND we're losing the title on goal difference. I guess it's always better to be a "local lad" and not do well. People will still love you b/c you come from down the road.

BANG ON - that's just it ... Welbeck is naff - nothing but a fake Drogba! Everything he does is just amateurish. You can GO FIGURE that!

why do you even support United? your a joke....

Truth hurts! This forum and everyone in here baring me is a joke! And yes I do support United but I am hoping for a BIG change because 3/4 of our squad is NAFF!

So who do you think we should get rid of more than the worst of them all, Berbatov?

JUSTICE FOR BERBATOV! YAYA X 2

    Howson:
Totally agree, this is the truth. The stats for Berba VS Welbeck speak for themselves.
10 goals for Welbeck 20 for Berba - there's your goal difference right there.

He might stay for another year! It's not 100% that he is going away... He has really astonishing ball control, therefore I hope he stays!
Red&White, Berbatov is not staying, Sir Alex and Berbatov's agent have already confirmed that a while back.

    Re: Anyone missing Berbatov yet?

Nope still not missing him. Would not have made one bit of difference in the areas we fell short this season. We scored more goals, we earned more points, this season and nothing he would have done would have stopped City from getting the same points as us and having a better goal difference. Also..

Seems even the players did not think Berbatov was the driving force in the title run last season.

Just saying hello to my little internet stalkers

    Re: Anyone missing Berbatov yet?

he will be missed and I just wish fergie should try putting him as a CF...but here is the scenario....Fergie just hates berba for whatever reason and there is no way around this...I do think the problem is that berba has questioned fergie in his control and now suffers the consequences....you cannot expect immediate change when a player is brought on after being benched an entire season to do wonders...Berba helped us win the league last season and we have lacked penetration without him... Everyone can chime away about berba lovers and chica haters etc. but at the end of the day, Berba's topscorer trophy and skill prove his ability...besides I think the rooney and berba partnership last season was amazing

donald p to sign for united:
Berbatov should have been sold last summer. It's quite simply bad business that we didn't and it isn't good for either party. Berbatov is far too good a player to be benched for an entire season at this stage of his career. It is fair enough that United wanted to speed up the attack this season but then Berbatov should have been sold. It would have been a good time to cash on him too as he was the Premier League top scorer the season before and might have even got 20 million for him. But now, he's a player that has been benched for a season and his value would have obviously gone down. We've kept paying his high wages during this period as well. It may have been that we kept him around because to add depth in the striker department but then why was Owen's contract extended as well?
Just watched a rerun of last seasons Sunderland match and the commentator said it all. He had never heard of a player that scored 5 goals and then was dropped!! He was a pleasure to watch and I'm sorry I didn't get to see his skills as much on the field this year.

Berbatov had about 3 golden chances to win us the game against City in the Cup match we LOST....he missed all of them and they were sitters.....Mike Phelan could of scored them while nodding off thats how easy they were.....he made a mess of things totally. He has already arranged a deal elsewhere hence the lack of game time for us.
Does not it better to have a chance than no chance to score at all as per our last game against city?
For those who have not watched the game, Berbatov actually missed just one clear chance. He also made a good effort once and shot on target - but the goalie made a great save. Also for those who don't follow football, Messi and Rooney have missed many clear chances in teir careers too, Messi actually misses quite a lot! Fact is that United is a much better team with Berbatov starting regularly than with Welbeck or Chicha starting regularly, and fact is that United might find themselves missing the "unnecessary" Berbatov goals against weaker teams at the end of this particular season. And as I said, next season - it will be even more obvious that we sold the Rolls Royce and kept the Hyundais.
Wow! I like your comment, especially at the end!!! Beer

Regardless of what you are all saying, Berbatov is still the classiest and most talented player in Man. Utd. Chico, Roo and Danny are good but not even close to the bulgarian in terms of understanding the game, technique, touch, vision and composure. So go on, bark as much as you want.....it doesnt change anything!
That comment you just wrote, that just goes to show you that you are not a United fan at all. Of course you are going to say that Berbatov is the classiest and most talented player because you are a Berba fan. You obviously do not know how good Chicharito, Rooney, and Welbeck are.
Yes, we all know how good Chciha/Welbeck are.................................... as corn runners....hahahaaah

    Re: Anyone missing Berbatov yet?

I agree that Berbatov should be getting more of a chance after all the goals he has scored. The problem has been that when he did play because he didn't run around like a 'headless chicken' alot of supporters got 'on his back' and called for players who maybe seemed to run more but in fact contributed less for example that Argie player that left us. Berba is a class act and know when to hold the ball up or play the quick one-two. Just look at his scoring record last season even without playing alot of games - does that not speak for itself! Nether does he moan and groan about not being in the starting line up. Pity we didn't have him on more often and perhaps the goal- difference would not matter!!

    Re: Anyone missing Berbatov yet?

During his worst season (I don't count this one as he didn't get much time on the pitch), Berba stats were better than Hernandez/Welbeck and that's a fact. Currently, they have 12 and this was the number of goals Berba had in his second season. However, he had more assists and he did all of this in less playing time. In general, I am a big admirer but Danny is a local boy with a lot of potential and United style is really not the best for a CF like Berbs so I wish him all the best somewhere else.
