I don't think Wayne will want out again unless SAF does nothing to address the issues again this summer. Rooney was promised by the owners and management quality players so if he does go it won't entirely be his fault.

Rooney had no support but was decent for the first 70 minutes, the same with Nani.But in the last 20 minutes he was below par.But he remains world class.

Nani was decent for the first 70 minutes?? I must have been watching a different game. The lad was garbage from the first minute until the 82nd minute when he was brought off. He's either devestating or abysmal, no inbetween with him. Last night we saw the latter.

As for Rooney, any of Barca, Madrid, City or Chelsea would take him if he was available...thats how good he is.

Well if Nani was abysmal , what about Park or Jones?Nani was decent because he was one of the few able to hold the ball and he made some crosses that were good but nobody was in the area because of the 4-5-1.What did you expect of him?Running 60 yards while passing the 2 players marking him and the third who was marking the space.Sometimes the system used can make players play better and sometimes worse.Yesterday the latter happened.Fergie got it wrong with the 4-5-1.Rooney,Nani,Scholes and Carrick were decent, the rest were poor.If the whole team plays bad it is the system's fault.

We shouldnt overreact and ask for a clearout or anything because I still think that if we play our normal 4-4-1-1 we can beat them.We need some strengthening and I am sure Fergie will do it in the summer.

Jim21, i agree Park was terrible. Jones was better than Rafael defensively but not nearly as good going forward.

Seriously mate, Nani was not decent. His corners were dire, his crossing was dire, he dribbled when should of passed, just made so many wrong decisions. But thats him all over, great player on his day, can kill any defender but he is so hot and cold its unreal.

Your spot on though, Fergie did get it wrong and the whole team was poor. Currently we have too many players who are either past their best or have an inability to step up to the plate when needed and as you say hopefully we will sign some much needed quality this summer.

don't know if he is poor but I see him leaving again after such poor season

I think even messi would have looked poor if he had been playing rooneys position in the city game, the whole team has been below par for some time now

maybe if wazza was not playing right back /leftback/ centre midfield / doing all the spade work or donkey work and had a holding midfielder fellaini a modric in the centre of are midfield he would be even more effective in m opinion

If Rooney scores 26 premiership goals every time he has a poor season i hope his poor seasons continue.

I think we can all agree that Rooney hasn't been at his best the last few months but he's still our most influencial player. From my point of view he's not enjoying his football, i think trying to carry the team every week has finally caught up with him, he just can't do it on his own. He's coming back too deep to get the ball because there is no link up play with the midfield, then trying to rush a pass out to the wings (i have to agree his passing lately has been woeful) then trying to rush into the box to score. He just can't do it all himself. I'm afraid if we don't sign some quality players to link up with him we will miss the genius of a player that he really is.

Do not misunderstand a lack of service from the midfield or the wings as Rooney being poor! Last night he got absolutely no help or service from the rest, I don't even think we had one attempt on their goal. Rooney is at this point the only true quality player we have.

Yes he lacked support and SAF needs to accept some responsibility there. That said when he did get the ball he didn't use it well, he could barely play 10 yard passes by the end of the game and got wound up far too easily by Kompany and Toure who didn't to anything spectaular with him.

To say he's a bad player is ridiculous, he's one of the best players in the world at the moment but he hasn't played as well in the last few games, even if his goalscoring has masked it abit.

Rooney was poor, but the whole team seemed unmotivated to be fair. Plus, Rooney was isolated the first 60 minutes as well.

you wont see the proper rooney while untd insist on playin up front on his own. needs to play behind a main striker,cant see why berba was dropped,he can hold the ball well and he can also see a pass.
