There is no need to spend 100m on random players, what we need is a group of players that can develop together. The main core of the new team that will establish is already here and if we go about the right business we could spend around 60-70m with about 20m from outgoings on quality players that will improve the squad.

If u want the top players then you gota pay. There's so much interest in the names regularly mentioned, that big fees are guaranteed. I could see it easily reaching 90- 100m and that may get u 4 top players at most. Martinez, modric, hazard all are gona go for 30m + cos of all the interest. Clubs can name there price, but that's the world were in now. Let's not forget we paid 30m for Rio ten years ago which is probs bout 40m in todays money plus 25 for veron n 20 for ruud n 27 for rooney so when we needed to spend we always have and I envisage that this summer will b no different.

If we can scrape together 15-20mil from the sales of Berba, Park, Anderson and Macheda i reckon we might have about £50mil to spend, I can't see us spending near £100mil though.

I agree with you mostly but would we really need Lorente? and i cant see Cissokho coming in either even though it would be nice think he will give Rafael time to mature. Hazard is top quality no doubt but we have 3 good wingers already and even though he can play as a creative Midfielder i would rather him on the wing. i would love to see Strootman , was really impressed by him this year in the Dutch league. Rasmus Elm could be an option either? i say we will spend about 75 million minus the players we sell.
