What you're failing to point out is the other side of this, you're posting bad things about the Glazers and believe me there are many but our debt is not actually United's debt it's on a holding company, it is their debt, you're also failing to mention we have £120 Million in cash in the bank for transfers, you're also failing to mention, we had over £80 Million to spend last summer but Ferguson got who he wanted and told them to pay the rest off on the debt, what you're also failing to mention as well! is the fact that the Glazers have boosted our worldwide revenue by nearly 40% over the last 5 years, made us more investable as a business, boosted us to 2.2 Billion net worth and are going to float 600 Million on the stock market to completely clear the debt and give us 300 million to play with that the FFP have no say over as we earnt it fair and square, in 3/4 years time we will be a massive spending powerhouse and if you do not believe that, look at two sides to the story (there was a fantastic post on here a month or so ago about this exact post).
Not saying the Glazers are amazing, because they are not, they are business men and they have made us a more profitable business and a much better investing oppertunity, look at the deals from DHL (all down to the Glazers) the new Nike deal which is going to be worth a tonne of money (all down to the glazers) etc. Like I say, the whole Glazer thing is massively blown out of proportion by the media saying we're in massive debt, Barca and Real are in much more debt than us and financially, we're one of the most profitable football clubs in the world, we spend hardly anything every transfer window because we bring in players to nurture and have a massive sell on fee, that's what we always do, if Ferguson wants money, he gets money, the Glazers have money to pump in if needs be, look at the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Glazers investment into them just got a massive revenue boost to get expensive players, if we want to, we will buy high profile players but if you're asking for £40 million for a 28 year old (Sneijder) or £50 Million for a 27 year old (Modric), 80 Million for an unproven player (hulk) is there really any value in the market? It's over inflated and we find deals, if we buy a £7 million player and he turns out to be a flop, fine, if we buy a £40 Million player and he turns out to be a flop, who are we going to be more bothered about?
Get real, as soon as the debt is cleared by this floatation which WILL happen, we'll be a massive spending powerhouse and we'll be able to lure players again, plus we have a strict wage structure in place so we never go into liquidation if investors back out, at present, if Abramovich backs out of Chelsea or Shake Rattle and Roll backs out of City, they would be in the conference league in 4 seasons, 85% of Chelsea's profits go on Wages, 115% of Citys profits go on Wages, 35% of our profits go on wages... See what i'm getting at, if we buy players who are demanding £200,000 a week and we buy 3 players all high profile doing that, we would be in trouble.. Personally, I like our way better.
