Chicharito & Rooney cost us four chances for goals in the last 2 matches ...

We have to keep this way (without trophies) - “doing very well” next season! Lol…..
We will get the trophy back next season.

Berbatov was top EPL goal scorer last season and he's been on the bench most if not all of the last part of the season...and its now to GD. any questions?
SAF wasn't playing him a lot this season because according to Berba's agent, SAF told him that he wants to change our style of play to fast playing football and therefore that is why he is not featuring. I still don't see us scoring goals as a problem, its our poor midfield and defensive performances, if we could have managed to defend properly rather than get battered 6-1 by city which is a 10 goal swing (our GD decrease by 5 and city's increases by 5) and our bad defense against everton then we would have won the league. So priority is to fix our midfield first of all

Just to mention, people who can accept intelligent opinion they usually can give intelligent opinion! I am not sure how somebody can insist one hypothetical/ fictional story can be true! What could be happened IF some player was playing same number of games like last season (Scholes,Vidic, Berbatov..etc.)? Play them if they are available and we can talk after that! We simply don’t know what was going to happened with GD if Berbatov was heavily involved in the first team this season. At the same time insisting “we did well/better” this season-it is something we don’t have good standing to talk about!
then why did you talk about both in this thread and others? So what you are saying is that you and the others insisting we would have done better have no way to prove it and should have just not bothered. And I do have a good standing to say we scored more goals, earned more points and have a better GD then we did in the PL last season, because those are actually true statements, you can look them up if you want. Those three items are statements of fact, deny them if you want, but the numbers are there.

We see the result this season. But it was more important for Utd to change their style based on the young players...

Berbatov is too inconsistent. On a good day he will making scoring look easy but he drifts out of games and holds the team back. In 3 amazing performances last season he scored 11 times. In the other 29 league games he scored 9. The perfect player to divide the opinions of the fans.

Oh I can accept an intelligent opinion, it the ones likes yours that aren't that I disagree with. The biggest difference in the PL this season from last is that City is better than they were last season, playing Berbatov would have had zero effect on that. As far as the CL goes, well he was hardly a force in our run to the finals last season, so again his not playing had no effect on this years outcome. That is the reality.

Simple really, the OP asks about where is Berbatov with GD being so important, the fact is last season WITH BERBATOV, we scored fewer goals and had a worse goal difference. That is a true fact no mater how much you want to pretend it isn't.

So how often do you visit your actual favorite clubs website?

I am going to give you my opinion - you can judge yourself whether it is reasonable enough for you. Last season we were much better side because we were unbeatable at home - just one unlucky draw after leading 2-0 and two rare mistakes by VDS, along with 18 wins. We have beaten all the top teams in that season. We were unbeaten till january and no team was able to humiliate us the way City did beating us 6-1. Why did we have less ponts and goals? Just because we were playing in all the cups - won the Carling cup, reached FA cup semi-final, and CL final. This year both us and City were knocked out of the other competitions early enough to concentrate on EPL - but this is not a sign for a brilliant season for both teams. And in fact we have won 6 points more than City in the games against the other teams - but allowed them to beat us twice, and it is exactly the 6-1 loss that would be the title decider if we lose the title on goal difference (still hope for a miracle from QPR though). So no matter what do you think is the reason, without a doubt this season we are worse than in the previous one. And one win by City tomorrow would make it really bitter season
Of the things that hurt us this year, Berbatov would not have made a difference. GD is not the problem, though as I point out and you can look for yourself, our GD is better this season, the problem was dropping points. Hold the lead vs Everton, and right now GD doesn't matter to us. the problem vs. Everton were mental lapses especially on Defense, Berbatov would not have changed that.

We actually managed to score MORE goals this season playing Berbatov in fewer games. So obviously, well obvious to most, not playing Berbatov was not the issue for us this season.

Even more telling, our goal difference THIS SEASON so far 14 better than last season. Ooops.

So, were we are standing with this "huge" improvement/success in all competitions? Some people just…..
Yes, some people like you having nothing better to do but go around acting ignorant on forums, though with you I doubt it is really an act. Though at the end of the day we probably must really blame your parents as the apple never falls far from the tree.

Though I suppose you would prefer we would finished the season with only 80 points as we did last year and the title race having been over for some time since City would be 6 points up on us if we had the repeat of last season you so dearly wish for. Heck we would even be further behind on goal difference if you had it your way.

As far as competition like the CL, well as we all know Berbatov had little if anything to do with getting us to the finals and even played as much this year in the group stages as he did last season, so obviously he is not the difference maker you want to pretend he is.

    Well, I can understand it is difficult to you (and few other posters who is trying to control this blog) to accept somebody else’s opinion which is different from official ‘rose-colored glasses’ line. In one of the worst seasons for Man Utd for decades to insist “we did well” it is shows not much brain cells or better to use SAF’s qualification-it is “travesty”. Otherwise you are welcome;
