    Re: 'Apparently' United's worst team- 89pts City's best- 89pts

The question is, if we are on a level playing field now who will strengthen the most in the summer and have the better squad come the start of next season. Lets hope it's us.

    Re: 'Apparently' United's worst team- 89pts City's best- 89pts

I think we should have ignored the city result and should have tried to win by as many games as possible. Imagine city were in our position, they probably would have won 8-0. Chelsea once beat wigan 8-0 to win the title. It really suprised me, as nearly the whole sunderland team are united fans, therefore they may not have tried that hard. i do not think this city team are as good as daglish's blackburn, wengers' invicibles or Mourinho's chelsea. Unless city sign rooney, messi or ronaldo, they will not win ther champions league., As liverpool once said come back once you have won 19- not in my lifetime and i am only 28. I think phill Jones is one of the best players i have ever seen, i hope he goes to the euros. United look set to be signing kagwa from dortmund, gaitain and baines. I would like to see sneijder, pique and ronaldo sign. Then all trophies are ours.

This is no way the worst united team, can't understand the people who say that, I even think we've been better this season than last season in the league even though we were poor in europe compared to last season. And I agree that City could easily go the way of Chelski. There's no doubt that we will be back fighting for the title again, we almost always regain our title.

city my have won the league and that hurts but on the bright said in my eyes they spent all that money and still they could not win the league with a clear ponts advatage we took them to the last day and they nearly blow it with a few new faces in are squad next season im sure we can win back are title next year city are not all that and there far from invincible.

Still can get over it. The 94th minute. Gutted, but we'll bounce back.

Hurts bad, so cruel, we were dangled the carrot and snatched away. I along with a lot of fans probably watched the game calm enough and when reality came back and thought we are going to do this, fate came back in and said ah! ah! and took it away, hope Citeh realise how close it was and considering they spent millions on top star players, they really struggled to overcome this United team, the one the media and oppositions say are crumbling!!!! (even some reds!!) Credit to United today, they did their bit, thats all that was required, they were never going to score 10, it was fate that did the rest, the same fate we have had on our side loads of times, but yes it hurts when it's the other way, but that is life. It's over now, move on,it's history, it sounds better if say Citeh won ''last'' seasons premier league, the next one is now up for grabs in August so we'll go again. well done United, MUTID and beyond.

So City spend all that money to win the title. While SAF has brought a few players and developed our young players. But we still managed to match them with 89pts in 38 games. The only difference is they scored more. That is a very good achievement considering people said this was SAF 'worst team'. I am sure we will be stronger next year. Players like Jones, Welbeck, Cleverly, Smalling, De Gea will have big futures. There is also still a good group of players who are only going to get better like Da Silva brothers, Chicharito, Evans, Young. City will need to have a very good season again next year. They could end up like Chelsea, players get old, sacking the managers if they fail after a few years. We will sign players and our young players will get better. Dont forget the year we lost to Arsenal in 98 we came back with a treble and 3 titles in a row. Then Mourinho dominated with Chelsea for 2 years but we stormed back with 3 titles and then got our trophy back when Chelsea won in 2010. So the future is bright for us.
Good post amigo! I'm getting really tired of people calling my team the worst in years. If we are that bad and match the new champions on points, what the f*ck does that say about the new champions? Or the rest of the teams in the league? And weren't we the worst UNITED side in years when we won it a 19th time? There really is no pleasing some people. And you're right, our team is young. Future's bright. And as history has proven, the title should come back home in 2013

It is the worst team I've seen. The only reason we've made it this far is the sheer lack of quality in the Premiership this season.

    Rooney - Age:26

    Hernandez - Age:23

    Welbeck,Age: 21

    Defenders

Good point, most of City's stars are on the decline while we have a very young team.

    Lescott 29

    Toure 29

    Tevez 28

    Barry 31

Yes,but they have the money to buy world class replacements.
Yes but it dosent always work. Chelsea had brought 10 players in the first 2-3 years and got the title. Then they went and spent big on Ballack, Deco and Shevchenko to win the Champions League. But failed. So Ambramovich sacked managers and was not willing to spend 30-40m on players after a few years. We have SAF who always has a master plan to get United back to the top.
SAF. This is the same manager whose negative tactics in so many games cost us the title. The same manager that, when we needed cm strengthening, bought a defender, and a winger? The same manager that, when he became desperate,he called upon a retired legend. The same manager that won't tell us the truth about the transfer funds and just goes on about 'no value in the market' I think Fergie is losing it....I just hope im wrong.
    Its my opinion

thats the point..people forget to realise that without spending as much as other clubs(city, chelsea etc),Manchester Utd are still powerful and what if they spend as much as other clubs are..i think we will be THE BEST IN THE WORLD...i am proud of what we did this season...WELL DONE..

Thanks for that, but it still hurts so much, 1 minute away, sounds familiar though, the sort of thing United do. Lost the title against Everton, knew it was all over then, but such a huge glimmer of hope today, feels like the worst day of my life! Carol
