http://www.espnstar.com/football/premier-league/news/detail/item654279/Arsenal-eye-Shinji-Kagawa-swoop/ This is an old article from when he was 22. "The Premiership is one of the leagues I want to challenge. If it is Man United, I'll be still more eager to go and try how much I can do there."

Does anyone speak German? I can understand a little and according to this article Kagawa was in Manchester and actully spoke with Sir Alex and the flew direct back to Japan to play in the world cup qualification. Can anyone verify this? Kicker is a very reliable German newspaper http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/569084/artikel_kagawa_gespraech-ja-ergebnis-nein.html
"Consultant Thomas Kroth has confirmed that he was with the 23-year-olds on the island - and there in Manchester. Kroth, Kagawa and Sir Alex Ferguson, his team manager at the label "Red Devils" have come together to exchange ideas. There is more concrete interest but not yet. "Results Pending" had been finalized with the negotiations, Kroth. Also, because there should be from the first floor of the Premier League offers more for the lively Japanese. The Kroth will examine in the next few days."

The fact that he's even acknowledged the talks must mean that they went well right? Or he could also be trying to stir up interest from other clubs I guess..

Everything makes sense now. His agent says no deal has been finalized because thats Utd policy, I think it will be official end of June. Why would he fly to Manchester if he wasnt gonna sign anything? Fergie seeing him play in Berlin makes sense and agreeing a fee with Dortmund after the game makes sense. If this article is true then it must be a done deal. No one flies to Manchester to meet Sir Alex and NOT sign a contract:)
Maybe there are no direct flights from Berlin to Japan, and he bumped into Fergie at the airport?!
I dont think so:P If his agent says they sat down and spoke with fergie I doubt it would be a bumping into at the airport? ;)
Costa Coffee?! Only joking pal, fingers crossed.

    Re: Kagawa in Manchester

It says that kagawa and his agent flew to manchester on monday night, and has had a meeting today with his agent (Thomas Kroth) and Alex Ferguson. Apparently they agreed terms but a deal has not been agreed yet because Kroth would like to see the other offers from premier leauge clubs (Arsenal).

Hopefully this isn't another "build you up to let you down" rumour. I'd love for him to sign for us.

From my rusty german it says that there were talks between United and Kagawa and his agent and that while there is interest, there was no completed agreement. The agent expects to hear other offers from other premier league clubs. Kagawa has gone back to Japan...

Well i watched the 20 seasons award ceremony and they said SAF couldnt be there to accept the reward so i guess he could be holding talks as Kicker has suggested, although obviously he has to be in Belfast tonight too.
Who knows why he wasnt there. Could be because of Belfast or it could be because of talks. None of us will know.
I will fight until i die
