Sir Alex has come in for criticism; some just and some unjust. I am not having a go at people who have made constructive criticism of mistakes Sir Alex might have made this season.

I am questioning those who have been calling for his head or who flippantly comment 'times up' or 'time to go' or 'Fergie out' on forums. This man deserves far more respect than that. Those who question him now were the same kind who questioned him in 1990, 2003 and 2005. He lives and breathes this club and has built this club into the dominant force in English football.

People are too quick to doubt him and give up on him. This is ridiculous. he has not lost anything, not a thing. You even hear people say he hasn't adapted to the modern game but this is patently absurd. He has adapted better then men half his age. He handles the kind of pressure at 70 that the 41 year old Pep and 33 year old Boas-Villas completely buckle under.

"He didn't sleep much on Sunday night. None of us did. He was in the office at 7.30 on Monday morning already thinking about next season,"

That is Sir Alex Ferguson- a remarkable man who has given, and continues to give, everything to this club. Everything. Manchester United fans respect him. Again- he is not infallible. I'm not saying it's wrong to criticise. I am saying it is ridiculous to dismiss him ,give up on him, blame him for everything or denounce him.

    Respect Sir Alex Ferguson.

Good post and comments but i didnt sleep last 2 nights, what does it mean????? every genuine fan is hurting. the title should NOT have come down to the last game of the season, we all expected QPR to get smashed. and in fairness they played well and were leading, the issues lies with the defeat v wigan, throwing away a 4-2 lead to draw 4-4 with everton and the 1-0 defeat to man city. For all the drama of the last game, you could say we lost the title at eastlands with that poor poor performance, even QPR gave them a better game then we did and why?? were the players scared, was it SAF's tactics?? Planning for the future??nobody has a crystal ball and SAF has done really well for us, but some decisions are baffling, hargo 17m down the toilet, anderson who simply is a flop, fletcher has a chronic illness, park aging It was clear after CL final 1 year ago our midfield was a key issue area and instead we sign a winger, defender and goal keeper, why isnt key issues (midfield) being addressed? And why are we wasting money on bizairre signings, Obertan, Bebe etc when that money could be used to buy one decent player.
I TOTALLY agree with you, I'm not asking for SAF to leave but I'm hurting as United fan how we bottled the league in 3 matches, because we didn't lose the championship this sunday but when we played that absurd formation in front of a minor team like city are you gonna tell me Mancini's tactics are better? no way. I also wonder the same question over and over again during the summer trasnfer window last year we should've gone for a midfielder but people slated me saying we have Cleverly, Anderson and Fletcher the 3 of them injured and chronically diseased during the season and we brought back Scholes who unarguably still has football on him but he can only play 45 minutes same with Ryan Giggs I really hope we get signings this transfer window not because I doubt Cleverly's talent but to have a back up when injuries come which is something not that unpredictable considering how physical the EPL is.
