    Re: Singing section on hold

That sounds about right, , personally i cant see why we should have to have a singing section, I know its needed, but thats because a hell of a lot of people cant be *** singing!! I was in North Stand tier 3 last week and as you know although the view is the best it is isolated so you need to sign, but nobody bloody joins in, I bet there were about 10 who were singing in our block? mind you it was quiet anyway. What I'm trying to say is that in an ideal world anyone who wants to sing get up and do it, sod the ''you know who's'' sitting next to you wanting peace and quiet, so because of these reasons a singing section is needed, why not east stand, drown out the visitor supporters, and stretford end, anyone been to Stoke City, now that is a voiceiferous ground, fair play to them. Whatever happens at OT I'll carry on singing on my tod where ever I am!!!!!!!!!

If this is the case then why announce these plans at the last home game of the season! They must of been aware of the Red tape and the timescale needed

    Mr.NiceGuy:
Singing section on hold Manchester United is disappointed to announce that, due to a delay in satisfying the requirements of the evaluation of the movement of away fans from the SE quadrant to Tier 3 of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, it is not possible to implement the fans' proposed singing section for the 2012/13 season. The Club has been asked for some further detailed analysis to allow them to form a definitive view on the proposals. Unfortunately there is not the time for the Club to do that work, conduct a ST renewal process, submit the proposals for approval and potentially implement the section for the start of next season. Work has already begun to address the issues raised and the Club hopes to be in a position to make a further announcement at the start of next season. The Club will keep dialogue going on this matter but thanks the fans for their patience. Affected Season Tickets holders can now renew their existing seat by visiting www.manutd.com/renew or calling 0161 868 8000. -------

Quite poor excuse if you ask me
Its not a poor excuse really, Any major seating changes with in a stadium have to be approved and the information has to be supported over a period of time. This all relates to The Taylor report and the Football Supporters Act. I am afraid it really is not as simple as just moving them and be done with it, lots and lots of red tape and governmental hoops to jump through.

    Re: Singing section on hold

dissapointed at this, was waiting to renew my season ticket and move to the singing section, the atmosphere as we all know is terrible at old trafford and im sick of being the only one where i am standing and singing but getting drowned out by the away fans. we need an improvement in atmosphere and the singing section would do this. *** excuse
