Re: Is Kagawa really the solution????

I can simplytell you why some powers that be are interested in Kagawa. Not just because of his talents and his ability impress Dortmund but also because he is Japanese. You see, the Glazers want a Japanese to publicise United into the Nippon market. It did well with Ji Sung Park. No doubt Park only costed us $ 4 million but he didn't play as much as we would like him to. Park hardly passed the ball to my surprise. I am not saying he is a bad player but I think he is really not suitable because i notice very few of our players trusted him, not wanting to pass the ball to Park. So my fear is, could this happen to Kagawa? One good point is that any Asian player would bring in more pounds in merchandising purchases from Asia. But point is, we want to buy players who can perform on the field. The Glazers are more interested in the money purse than the results on the premier league table. I hope they don't end up like what Venky did to Blackburn. To be fair I've not seem Kagawa play. So I give him the benefit of the doubt. But do we really need another playmaker??? We already have Ryan Giggs who can play there. plus TOm Cleverley. THis is actually Carrick's favourite position, because he can't play anywhere else. We've tried to move Carrick back one pace (Scholes' old position) but that didn't work. What we really need is a defensive midfielder, one in the mold of Owen Hargreaves. Our midfield is full of sprocket holes. We let our opponents simply run thru our midfield. We've got nobody dominant to defend that area. No offence to Scholes but I don't think Scholes can keep up due to his age and Scholes wants to retire. I think Scholes can serve us best by being a coach and mentor. we need to produce new Scholes - I think we got somebody there, he's Tom Cleverley.

I'm also slightly apprehensive about the Kagawa signing but for different reasons. I haven't heard anything to suggest he can play in a two-man midfield which is probably what he's going to have to play in, I haven't seen much of him to be honest so perhaps someone who's seen a lot more of him can correct me if I'm wrong!

I think talent wise Kagawa is up there with the best of them and wont cost half as much as players like Modric would for example.Kagawa would be a great signing for us.Kagawa has the potential to become world class here if he came the same goes for Hazard.

    Is Kagawa really the solution????

Ive watched him play a few times and he looks like a good player. Good technique, good vision, good passing. But if we did sign him i cant really see him being a quality signing. I think he would struggle to impose himself in the premier league. Maybe im wrong.....well i hope i am if we do end up signing him. Just wanted your thoughts and opinions.
