For years we haven't done too well in the transfer market but that has been masked by two tremendous players in Giggs and Scholes but now they are coming to the end of their careers and our team is looking a little mediocre. We have a lot of youth players with potential which is great, but that potential has yet to be reached, will it work or will it not? That is yet to be seen.

What are we famous for? Fast attacking passionate football, sorry, haven't seen too much of that the last few seasons.

Ok, $hity pipped us to the title on goal difference but as hard as it is to say they played the much better football, and before people start talking about injuries for me the only important injury was to Vidic,although i think that Evans came in and done a tremendous job. $hity have everything in place to dominate for the next few years, maybe players feel that they have more chance of winning titles there.

Chelski a little bit of the same. They are a team in transition and for sure they will sign top players. Can you imagine Hazard, Mata, Torres (if he comes good) and another top quality striker? It's scary. Plus whatever others they sign.

Why would Hazard come here when he will get a lot more playing time at Chekski? People say he has a big ego but that's exactly the type of player we need, a Cantona type player. I thought we had that player in Pogba but look what's happening to him. It's obvious he's an exceptional player and should have been played a lot more, if he goes it will be a big mistake by the club, but it doesn't worry me too much because we have Scholes, Giggs Park, Carrick (note the sarcasm?) All the lad wants to do is play football, obviously SAF can't give him this guarentee or he would stay, don't know for sure but i suppose The Juve have promised him more game time, once again, is it all about money?

For me the most worrying thing is we haven't attracted top top quality players in years and if something isn't done about it we are going to be left behind, we can't depend on good players hoping they will become great. The CM position should have been addressed years ago, we haven't even replaced RVN ffs.

Maybe Rooney seen what was happening to the club before anyone, and as much as i think they are bloodsuckers i don't blame the Glazers for this, it's obvious the money is there if needed but for me it wasn't spent on what the club really needed.

I aggree a 100% with you mate I mean why are we still depending on Scholes and Giggs it's unurguably that they have talent but they can't play 90 minutes they should be substitutions not starting players, no wonder why Pogba wants to leave and why players think twice or thre times before joining our glorious club.

Agreed, i dont know what is up with these younger generation of players but they dont seem to want to come to Man Utd. Im sure all the older Pros ie: Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Xabi Alonso, Zanetti etc would come to Utd over city and chelsea IF they had to chose. About the playing time thing, im sure he would get plenty of playing time here aswell, seeing as he would be probably our second best winger or maybe play behind Rooney. i still think money has a huge part to play in their final decision. We just dont offer 170 000 a week, like city, chelsea, madrid, barca have been doing for a few years now.

I think it's way too early to be disappointed in our market movements, I agree with your earlier sentiments on the lack of fast attacking play though.

Perhaps you're right that it's too early, but if we haven't signed any top top quality players (with the exception of Valencia) in the last 4-5 seasons it gets me thinking not a lot is going to change.

young people with no ambition are happy to chase a bit of money. stupid. they are not thinking that in few years working with the best manager EVER you will became a 100mil player and you will have all the money in the world. not everyone is smart like Ronaldo & co.

Sorry Dlakadejan, but i don't think you really understood my thread. I'm saying that it's NOT about money and that it IS about ambition. For sure he will get more playing time at Chelski, that's all most players want. I' m pretty sure as well that $hity would have offered him more money. He chose a team that i think will be a force to be reckoned with very shortly.

We at the minute seem to be a team without ambition, and SAF coming out and saying that Carrick will be our main man next season seems to prove this. It's not a negative against Carrick but he is in no way a game changing player.

People say if these players don't want to sign for us, what can we do? Well we have to ask ourselves WHY they don't want to sign for us. We have tried to give youth a chance but without top quality players playing along side them it just isn't working.

The Pogba situation is another negative, he's the type of player we need but because the club is stubborn he's another top talent we are going to lose. This isn't the way forward.

The class of 92 for me is the main reason we have won so many trophies the last 20 years but that class is now dying and we haven't replaced them.

We are Englands top team, the top talent should want to come here, but they don't. Doesn't that worry you? It worries me. I'm lucky in the sense that i've supported United for 35 years, so if we do go back to seasons only winning the odd cup i'll still be here, can't say the same for a lot of other people.
