    because it's gills job to do the negotiations..its pure arrogance to say people will join us because of our history. footballers go where the money is and its time we woke up to that fact. its their job. if you were offered a new job that pays twice as much you'd take it too.

Just because his agent wants him to earn £170k a week, with a £6m agents fee I might add, does not in any way mean that he is actually worth it. If Chelsea want to pay outrageous money for a kid who has achieved the sum total of a*se all, then that's their lookout. This, by the way, is the Chelsea that finished 6th in the Premier League and 25 points behind us. Get your head out of your a*se and use your brain, if you can locate it.

    can't win them all? we don't win any. every season we miss out on a top player.

    because we have failed to sign our top summer targets for the last 4 years. the truth is we can't compete in the transfer market..top players want to play for chelsea, barca,city or madrid...they don't want to play for united. everyone says we are the biggest club in the world but we can't attract the best players to our club.
    Who says they are our targets? The papers? Just because The Sun, or whoever, prints it doesn't mean there's any truth in the story. Fine, we were in for Hazard, but that doesn't mean he was our top target. Perhaps that would have been a one-off, on top of the targets we'd already defined before the end of the season. Sir Alex would have drawn up his shortlist a long time before the end of the season, and no one other than him and his team can know who is on it. If you insist on believing the papers, we made an offer for Kagawa at the same time as, if not before, the offer for Hazard, does that make him out top target?

If you can't take fans right to post and comment on things, apparently you should "GET ALIFE OR A SET OF BRAINS". Funny that, I didn't realise brains came in sets. I was under the impression that everyone had (up to, but most likely not in your case) one.

    so chelsea payed an outrages fee for an unproven player but yet according to people on here we agreed the same wage and price?
    Yeah, cos people on here are in the know aren't they. Where does it say anything, anywhere, about the figure that was agreed with each club? All it says is that Hazard accepted the offers from City, Chelsea and us. It mentions nothing towards whether those offers were equal, it just says they were accepted.
