Totally with you those choices Stret, there are other options but I think they're up they're the best ones tbf. Think you'd be looking at an initial £60million outlay with Martinez or £50million with Strootman and we are likely to see £15million plus coming in from sales so that's a gross outlay of £35-45 million and I think that that is most certainly "Value in the Meerkat" :)

M'vila just doesnt seem like a possibility to me, realistcally i wont believe that until united announce interest, but martinez/mvila wont be here next season, i strongly disagree with united signing modric to be honest, to me 30-40m for him seems like a farse & i think tottenham are just trying to fully milk the profit, i'm not saying he wont perform as i am a fan of modric, but i thought we were aiming for a more fluid build-up play with a solid defense, idk, for me i would love him to prove the doubters wrong if he did sign, but i'm not sure he completely would. Kagawa, Baines, Clyne & Dembele seems like an effective way to get what we are missing & plug them into an already great team because realistically i dont see us buying modric if anderson doesnt get shipped out, & in my opinion a player like Dembele is a must, rather fast, powerful, good all around player with youth & he's low key for a good price & his stats from last season make his 11m price tag seem like a steal. so in my opinion Dembele,clyne,Baines & Kagawa = job done (realistically)

Since last season i have been hearing people talk about how we need an attacking midfielder,we have it now u want 4 other players. utd dont need an overhaul, 1 player makes a huge difference in football. if u have 4 midfield places, 1 player can change how the team plays. we dont need be the ones to consistently supply through balls, they just need to maintain possesion. we arent going to play 433, so we dont need a dm, we need a ball winner ala fellaini. if fabio stays, i dont think we may even need a left back.

Kagawa, Martinez/M'Vila/Strootman and Willems/Santon would be job done for me. I know SAF will not buy a dm but imho this is how we'd most improve. The three dms there could play cm don't forget so don't rule them out.

DEFINITELY: Attacking central midfielder: Kagawa. Done.

DEFINITELY: Creative central midfielder: Someone who has a solid all-round game and has a good range of passing, is tactically and technically sound and also not afraid to do some defending. Fit job description: Modric, Javi Martinez.

POSSIBLY: Holding Midfield: Can break up play, tackle and provide a shield for the back 4. Possibles: M'Vila, Javi Martinez.

POSSIBLY: RIght back: Although we dont have a regular, natural right-back (that will be able to play a whole season) I can see Jones or Smalling being developed into the job on a full time basis. Not going to happen.

I say along with Kagawa we only need to sign ONE or maybe TWO others this transfer window.

Definitely agree we need to spend enough this summer before the transfer window closes. Our squad depth is going to be vital to compete with City, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. In my opinion we need 1 creative midfield and a solid power house who can protect the back four in the big games and in Europe. We need a Yaya equivalent or better. I still think we need a good quality pacey center half who can fill in and take over duties from Rio or Vidic and dominate ariel threats as we seemed vulnerable to balls played into the box. Upfront I think we lack a player who can create a spark out of the blue. We cant rely on Wayne, Danny, Chicharito for the whole season to keep doing the business. We need someone definitely if one of them were to get injured. I think Patrice isn't an issue for us I dont think. He didn't have a particularly strong season but there was the Surez saga and the whole team suffered from missing our captain Vidic who governs the back four. I think players we need to move on are Anderson, Berba (with regret), Ji-Sung Park. I think Giggs and Scholes need to be used sparingly in the right games (smaller matches) to give a rest to our creative midfielders. I love our team but the truth be told we need some depth in the squad and fresh blood who can inspire the rest of the club. We haven't recovered since losing Christiano and have been in decline since. SAF and the Glazers have a duty to bring players to repay the fans. What does everyone think?

We won't be signing 5 players that's for sure. Fletcher may return we will have to wait and see. I personally don't think we need a replacement for Berbatov despite Keane suffering an injury. By the way Diouf was sold to Hannover in January.

I just want to see Afellay, Sahin, Eriksen and Alba at ManU ! With Kagawa of course...
