    Re: READ THIS!! GARETH BALE

I would actually love to have Bale in our squad. For winger positions, we only have young, valencia (who is not the same player as last year) and nani (who is injured). One additional wide player would bring more competition and boost our squad. But I really can't see him joining us. Levy would want at least 40 million for him, most likely more from English clubs. He will probably go abroad to RM
i think you hit the nail on the head with that post, tottenham will not want to sell him to an english club for less than 40mil because of his age and the fact that he's one of the best midfielders in the league, if not europe. i think that there are only 2 clubs that could afford him (barring a player plus cash deal), but its debatable if those teams would appeal to him as one has a perpetual managerial rotational system and the other already has a wealth of midfield talent and a dressing room in discontent. for me RM are the most likely destination. just a pity, we would give barca a better game than we have done lately if we had both him and rvp in our ranks.

maybe Bale is good but i don't think he's 40-50 million good.... in that region players like Neymar comes into picture or Strootman plus Rodriguez.

Don't mean to burst anyones bubble... but this source is from last year June, its silly bumping it, let alone talking about an article by caughtoffiside.. (Anyone ever wondered about the irony in CAUGHTOFFSIDE, how everything they right about, .... is usually caught offside :)

Why did a Bale thread need to be bumped? You surely know there's a less than remote chance of him coming here, yet you use this "chuckle" excuse as a reason to make us all read about him again.

Going traipsing through Bale threads too, that along with the majority of your posts being Bale-orientated; anyone would think that you have some sort of obsession with him.

Bale isn't for sale, and if he was to be sold he certainly wouldn't go to Manchester United.

Plus £38m would never be accepted IN A MILLION YEARS. Keep dreaming.

I think Young is top class.Strootman would be a good signing for us.Modric would be good but he will cost too much.I dont think we need Bale to be honest.
I totally agree. Young was very good last season particularly in big games such as Spurs and Arsenal. He's finally given us the ability to properly threaten from a free kick too far to shoot from too. He's certainly good enough and doesn't need replacing. Strootman would be the ideal signing and Bale is most definitely what we don't need. Firstly he's a winger, something we have an abundance of. Secondly he's a one trick pony. He just runs past people- there's not a lot more he does so our current wingers are more complete than him. Oh and he'd cost £35 million.
don't know so much about bale being a 1 trick pony, has some power in his shot, some speed, grt ability to pass players and can finish, how d hell is that a 1 trick pony..still i dont know how he'd fit are squad, unless a big name was to leave..
