    Re: Your World XI ?

I like these sorts of things and nice to see some people incorporate a 3 man back 3 but to be honest if those potential back 3's were playing the potential front 3's that have been mentioned then I think it would be a slaughtering match!

Anyways here's mine (based on what I think would work and not necessarily the 4 best defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 best attackers):

    ____________________Casillas__________________

    Lahm_______Kompany_________Vidic_________Evra

    ___________De Rossi_________Toure Yaya________

    Ronaldo_____________Rooney______________Messi

    __________________Van Persie_________________

I curious as to why so many rate players like Maicon and A.Cole over Ramos.

A.Cole wasn't even the best premier league fullback this season.

Because Ramos has been converted to CB for club & country. I personally selected Maicon as hes good defender and scores some crackers.
Ramos has always been able to play both positions, he was originally a centre back. I think if he was played at right back he would be the best right back in the world (along with Lahm who can play both full back positions)

Maicon is yet another player who's last hurrah was in 2010, he has been spiraling down in ability and form since then.

    2 comments on your team:

1: I see you are allowing Ronaldo off his defensive duties like most managers do. Maybe you are just being realistic knowing he wont defend anyway.

2: the OP asked for a world xi so you gotta make a decision on who to leave out I.e. No subs to be listed.

    Mr.NiceGuy:

    Subs:
Hart, Rooney , Van Persie , Yaya Toure , Iniesta , Pique , Dani Alves

Yea I was just being realistic
And ahh ok then the subs will be left out ofcourse :p
