All true. Word going around recently (discussions among Euro 12 pundits) that nothing happens at Barcelona without his say-so. He is no diva on the pitch or off the pitch but it appears the dressing room is his. Fair enough, he has earned it.

Messi is just the best player in the world and contender to be in contention as one of the all time greats. Hat trick against Brazil. Who is the last person to score a hat trick against Brazil? Its hardly Rossi in 82? Who ever scores a hat trick against Brazil in a close game it is some achievement in itself. Put the whole Ronaldo and Messi thing in perspective. Messi contributed three goals to played for his team to beat Brazil while Ronaldo did nothing in the game until they went behind. Its a team game and no individual is going to beat a team on his own no matter how good he is but looking at Ronaldo play yesterday he wasn't really an inspirational captain i.e. leading by example or putting in a 'shift' for the sake of the team.
I have a sense of myself but I'm not too aware!

It may seem daft but I'd say he's arguably the most underrated player in the world, the constant comparisons to Ronaldo are an insult, I don't think there's been anyone close in history.

    people underestimate messi season

Messi hat-trick against brazil last night brought his total for club and country to 82 goals for the season. That total is crazy if he gets 41 goals next season is that a bad season because he only got half the goals. Is it possible for him to score more next season
