    ll KuRuPT x MuFc ll:
Hmmm these posts get better and better. I guess your forgetting the start that ando and clevs had when we outplayed and destroyed other teams midfield. Ok it was 5 games in i think before that Muppet davies injured clevs and ando got injured again but a blossoming partnership with ando and clevs was emerging and looked very very exciting. Yet we see a barren season in terms of cups/titles and PANIC hits this forum like a pandemic. Fickle fans we have here always wanting the next best thing overlooking the talent just waiting to burst through in our younger players who can only get better. But other teams bring in some already established names and we see people here go green and gold with envy. WE DONT BUY STARS WE MAKE THEM thats the united way usually when we sign an already World Class star they flop here. Sir Alex has this figured out and he learns from his mistakes THATS WHY HES BEST OF ALL TIME. and to be fair i trust his judgement more than any other if he thinks its not worth it then i agree. You have to cut your cloth accordingly and we do at united thats what keeps us un top despite other teams massive spending.... their just trying to keep pace with us NOT the other way round...If ando and clevs had of been fit and we were playing the same attacking fluid football we were before they both fell injured we may have avoided the 6-1 hammering and being knocked out of the fa cup and CL early. Injuries really hampered our selection all season in key areas. That fast flowing football will return and to add shinji to that midfield of clevs and ando could be the masterstroke to bring it all together. young nani shinji rooney ando and clevs...IF it works very tasty indeed imo. with the slick movement and quick passing pace and power we really could be back to our best only time will tell
I guess you are talking about me being a fickle fan cause the post i wrote so i will respond.

We overperformed in the beginning of last season, that was never gonna last throughout the season.Anderson is simply not good enough for this club,he has not done anything here for 5 years.Cleverley had 5 good games at the beginning of last season and all of sudden he is suppose to be the answer to our big problems in midfield.I dont buy that, the only thing he has shown is a big injury list."WE DONT BUY STARS WE MAKE THEM" Yeah thats great, but right nowm, who in the reserves will you say has the potential to be worldclass? None.We had Pogba but he left us.You close your post by praising Anderson/Clevs saying they can bring us back to our best, bring back the power and fast playing football, then you say "Only time will tell".... Well i wont wait for that time.Thats what we did last season(not buying cms) and we failed big time. This summer,we should learn from mistakes and bolster our squad with quality so we dont experience the same embarrassing cup exits.

    Don`t hate on my opinion!

The start of the season Anderson and cleverly were brilliant but the big difference between them is cleverly was injured by Kevin davis and was rushed back, Anderson is just injury after injury and he should used as a bartering tool for someone else

i do believe anderson is a good player but the thing is he just wont make it with us he,s lost all his confidence and i feel for him to get it back he needs to move on because with total faith from a new manager he will be a good player but that wont be with us and i think we would be lucky to get a fee of 10million for him with his injury record
title number 20 is on its way believe

Cleverly benefitted playing under Martinez during his loan spell with Wigan; a manager that has sold some of the best wingers in the league in Valencia and Nzobia just to play a free passing football.
Cleverly just became comfortable played in tight spaces and it is only Anderson who can complement him.
However thinks Cleverly who has been at OT for the last 10 years deserves a chance and Ando doesn't is a joke.
If Oshea was given that much time, why not Ando. If Fletch is given this much time, why not Ando.
Ando is the most naturally gifted CM player we have.
By the way, Cleverly is not a natural CM player, he only played well because of Ando and not vice versa. Please just understand this last statement!

Re: There's just something about Anderson

You're most definitely right, maybe say he's not good for us but that's due to his injuries and lack of game time. If you watch him when he does play, you'll notice he holds the ball really well, not so often he loses possession, and he can sometimes burst his way past a player or 2 and just drop the ball off to an attacker. I would think if we're buying such players as Kagawa, (possibly) Strootman and (possibly already on his way) Powell. Then we are planning to sell Anderson, but i wouldn't personally mind keeping him for another season, he seemed to link up with Cleverley really well at the start.

Re: There's just something about Anderson

I totally agree with this Anderson has had enough time already, yes he plays well when he actually plays but we can't keep waiting for him to play with him being injured a lot. And for cleverly think he is going to be very much a squad player next season but we need that if we are to challenge on all fronts he has quickly progressed into a top player within the last two year so his development is fast and the fact he's English goes well with the homegrown rules. With modric if he comes and probably an addition of a box to box player like tiote or strootman, kakawa, carrick and with Powell, cleverly, scholes and giggs in the midfeild, I think this looks really class and don't think that anderson fits and to be honest don't think he should wait another year being just a reserve/sub player again cos he too good for that, he needs to go to a Europa league team like Newcastle/everton or go back to Portugal and get more game time so he can progress and if we don't want to take the chance on loosing him then put him on loan but in the prem so we can monitor him propally.

    me23:
So far, both Anderson and Cleverley has not done anything to prove they should be in the starting line up.Its worse with Anderson,he`s been here 5 years and not improved one bit.He still cant strike a football and is way inconsitent.I would give Cleverley more time as it was his first season for the 1st team last year. But we definitely need a quality CM this summer, there is just no doubt about that.

If people think we will be a threat next season with the same CMs as last year, they are very wrong. Our midfield just isnt good enough, thats been proven throughout the whole of last season, exit early in every cup.Not only did we get knocked out,but we got outplayed so many times too.Teams bossed us around, home and away, teams like Bilbao,Basel and Benfica..! We should make sure that doesnt happen again by buying quality players this summer and make sure we will be a force next season.

Well said me23, my thoughts exactly.

Someone said that we need to judge Cleverley on merit to see that he is not as good as Anderson. I suggest we also judge Anderson on merit and see that in 5 years he has never played a full season (at least 80% of games fit) for us. At such an age to have that kind of record is appalling. I imagine he would be downright unusable and bedridden when he hits 28. Sell him while he still looks a prospect and use the cash to get another CM.

I'd imagime Andersons time would be up except i really cannot think what club would want to sign him, alot of injuries and underpeformances then there's the trouble off the pitch

Fans need to forget that Cleverly came through the youth system and judge him on merit. If they did, they would concede that Ando is a far more complete player who offers steel to the midfield as well as a stunning left foot
. Mate. did you just say anderson has a stunning left foot. . hes shooting is the worst for a professional footballer i have ever seen in my life he doesnt switch long balls and even if he does he gets them wrong all the time. stunning left foot?> Think you might of had a little concussion
