    Re: Powell confirmed

They'll get a good feel of him on tour and then decide whether to loan or keep him I'd say. Just because he came from a lower division and is relatively inexperienced doesn't mean he isn't ready for the step up. With regards age,....if you you're good enough you're old enough.

Great news!! Hes technically good n physically well developed like rooney at same age. Cud end up a real superstar n glad its us,that, have him.
I agree. I wonder if he'll get some game time. My guess is he'll go on loan to a championship club so the transition is big but not too big-league two to championship is a big enough step up as it is.

That's good that we signed Powell. I think he will be replacing Keane as 4th choice striker.

    Re: Powell confirmed

My only hope is that him and kagawa arent the 2/3 signings Fergie had talked about.. Iv'e a feeling that Powell was signed like jones quickly due to competition from other clubs(arsenal&liverpool)..Kagawa acording to reports wasnt really considered untill recently (when Fergie went to see him in the cup) We have sorted two positions Attacking flair and the new youth with potential.. we just need a solid box-to-box midfielder and if Fergie is eager a left-back..I'm honestly excited about Powell!!!

I've got a feeling we won't loan him out but instead make him our 4th striker if we don't sign any striker

    Re: Powell confirmed

I watched him in two matches, he wouldnt be a striker although he can play there.. his energy and shooting/skills remind me of Gerrard and if he even gets close to him we will have a top talent!.. It's interesting that he said he's excited to be playing in the Prem next season with United.. So maybe he wont be going out on loan?

Great news. Smart buy for the future. I doubt we will be getting Lewandowski now. Never really thought it would happen anyways. The only three people are talking about now (or the papers are) are Jordi Alba, Leighton Baines, or Luka Modric right? I say either Luka or Alba. If we get Luka we should sell a CM.

Just seen it on SSN just now, good to hear, i've not seen enough of this guy to actually say "this guy is going to be as good as..." but after seeing some of his goals and watching him in the playoffs (i watched only him, so concentrated on overall play!) he looks a class act for an 18 yr old.
