Re: Going to be another dissapointing season if we dont sign big

This Most of our remianing targets (if you believe the media) are playing at the Euro's...modric, baines, strootman, Lewandowski etc so I expect it to be quiet on the transfer front for a couple of weeks now. I do expect at least one more to be announced and hope it's not just Baines. Nothing against him, think he is a good premier league player but £15m? no thanks. Evra is a far better player if he can get his head back on defending properley.

I'd retire Giggs but Ferguson is obsessed with him. I'd also get rid of Park, give Scholes ONE more season and assume Fletcher isn't coming back.

I'd give Ando another shot in the first team (alongside Carrick) and IF we keep Pogba, I'd like to see him next to Scholes.

In terms of buying players, I don't they need to be big names, they just need to be big talents.

My targets would be: ZAHA (as a winger*), CLYNE and ASAMOAH

*Cue all the "we don't need a winger" BS

You disrespectful little bytch. This aint Football Manager you dont decide when a player retires neither does Sir Alex. Honestly you have no respect for our senior players who have brought us success after success and this shows by your woeful and inexcusable post ID RETIRE GIGGS???? honestly go back to the abortion bucket you somehow escaped from. I dont know how u dare..AFTER ALL the legend that is Ryan Giggs has done for our club and u can dismiss what surely must be his decision and his decision alone...YOUR NO SUPPORTER OF THIS CLUB..BANDWAGON yup you have been christened. ONLY Giggs can decide when he retires HE HAS EARNED THAT RIGHT. You and so many other BANDWAGON fans sicken me to my stomache

Re: Going to be another dissapointing season if we dont sign big

sorry but em............WE DID SIGN BIG!

KAGAWA.......Clearly alot of you know f all about him which is fair enough........but we signed him and it IS abig signing........you lot ignore it because we got a bargain. if he wasnt in the last year of his contract hed be around 25-30 million or more due to his recent performances! I BET IF WE SIGNED HIM THEN THIS THREAD WOULD NOT EXIST........tutut.

truth is we DONT need signings...........we need to AVOID injuries. for god sake open your eyes and recharge that brain and remember how good we were before injury ravaged us............we hammerd arsenal 8-2 and not just through the goals....we were barca like on the pitch. i suggest people go re watch that game. we beat spurs 3-0 too and outplayed chelsea and over ran city in the second half of community shield.........then injury.........and look how that wrecked us as we either lost or scraped by these same teams.

we even played completely different. ando and clev were outstanding. if injury had not ruined it clev would be at the euros now and anderson finally would have established himself as top drawer.....because he was until the *** hit the fan.

we now have clev and ando recharged..........and scholes for the season. smalling de gea and jones will be twice as good and now we have kagawa added to thqat................watch us run teams ragged. watch us do better in europe and WIN IT withing the next 2-3years........and watch us run away with the title.

Ronaldo too far out for him to think about it AAOH ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL

So if they cost £30+ million they are world class??? As long as the Player FITS the team, thats all UTD want, the Class players with ambitions will come to UTD, the ones that just want the money will go else where. SAF will get more players in we will have to wait until the Euro`s are over?

We need some world class players in our team if we want to compete with the big boys, at the moment we will struggle to make group stages let alone winning premier league with city breathing down our necks, we need to boost our midfield offload a few players and byt class if we want to win trophies!"!
It angers me when people say we have to spend big otherwise our season is going to be poor!! We lost it on goal difference that shows we can compete with the so called best! With the arrival of Kagawa and possibly a class midfielder hopefully Strootman and NOT Modric we will be fine, theres too many people who want to spend millions when we dont need to, If we get a decent midfield player then i for one cant wait for the new season to start we are ready, Jones and smalling would of gained alot of experiance and knowledge for next season, Kagawa excites me, Cleveley being fit again will be like a new signing and so will Vidic people need to believe!

We really only have 3 top wingers (giggs plays in the centre more often know and park is out of it) so we might need another one.

Giggs can still be quality on his day, his 'day' is just becoming less frequent, I think he still has another season in him but he should only play 20-30 games IMO. We really only have 3 top wingers (giggs plays in the centre more often know and park is out of it) so we might need another one.

we don't need to sign big, spend big...we need to sign quality, someone with potential to star...thats what we are doing...kagawa,powell...a left back, probably baines...alba was disastrous as left back for spain...we can no longer rely on anderson...every season we hope he plays well but he is only good at getting injured...we need another defensive midfielder and thats all we are ready to rock

You, my friend should be a Man City supporter :)

Last year, Barcelona also had a disappointing season, No Spanish league no Champions league :)

We don't want our club to be in a financially vulnerable position like most of the clubs in Europe, because of throwing money around.

You can count on your finger the clubs that are financially sound and not owned by sugar daddy's.

To be honest mate i dont think your too far off the mark there, we could look at it as bringing in 3 quality players for alot less then Modric alone will cost and for me Asamoah would walk into the team, Zaha has huge potential and can cover as a forward or winger and Clyne will give Rafael competition.

    Yay :D

personally ild sign strootman (15m) (although would prefer martinez), clyne (2m) baines (15m) to go with powell (4m) and kagawa (12m) = 48m outlay. give anderson a chance and see if cleverley can get fit. if not then next summer go for eriksen as a major signing. He has said he wants one more year at ajax so we should move early.
