    Stanley Jones:
Irish fans were brilliant, and loved the way they mingled with the Spanish. Seemed a good atmosphere -unlike Poland/Russia. Trappatoni not done Gibson any favours. Tells him to leave United for the sake of his international career, and then doesn't play him. But well done to the supporters and hope you get something from the Italy match (although i hear that Italy are already in the final!)
It was the embodiment if what FIFA are trying to achieve, the Spanish and Irish lads, all sitting together, having a great time, it was awesome to see, even at 4-0 nil down we'll still be singing. And I agree 100% about Gibbo, I was gutted to see that donkey Keith Andrews in ahead of him. Would have gave us a little something more, especially with his passing and long range shooting.

What for singing the same boring a*s 1 verse song over and over again ( remind you of a couple of EPL teams that does the same ?), get real you guys the ROI are the most over hyped under achieving football team there is. Ohh what was the other one they where singing You'll never beat the Irish, yeah right..... that's 2 and 0 against them, ""You'll never beat the Irish""
I love that chant. We never said what you'll never beat the Irish in. Go on the lads.

gotta agree, second to none, fair play, also gotta agree with roy keane when he said "it would be a nice change if ireland didnt go for just a sing song."..
Well, with a squad like the one Trap constantly relies on what does he expect? For us to go out and beat the likes of Spain? We're here for a good time, not a long time.

No, for getting behind their team when getting the *** hammered out of them. And I''m not to sure what planet your living on but saying they are over hyped is stupid, Ive never seen anyone hyping them up to be a good team. Easy known you've never been to Old Trafford as well or I'd say to any football match by you having a crack at the lyrics of a chant. The lyrics of chants are not always supposed to be taken as the truth lol!

I long for the days when Utd fans at Old Trafford used to be like that back in the 80's especially, nowadays if we're losing the stadium is like a morgue and if we're winning with 10 mins left on the clock a good 20% of the crowd decide to get up and go home.

Have to agree with you there mate. The Irish fans did themselves proud as they always seem to do last night. Fans of other nations and I'm including my own England there should take note.
