He hasn't even played a single game and already writting him off? Sad. Try supporting the team instead of saying they are know good and get a grip.
It is fortunate that most players are not like me or there would be anarchy

Oxlade-Chamberlain might be the closest comparison of similar experience coming in and playing well in the PL, but Ox played his ball in the Championship, two tiers higher than Powell.
    Ox played in League one
yes he was but still.. we are talking about non-premier league teams players here.. so the point is irrelevant to say that a player from league 2 doesnt deserve the fee of 4mil... we are paying for the potential a player has.... im pretty sure many of us here would have loved it if SAF got OXlade.. the fee of 6mil or 8mil will look minimal for the potential he showeed.... am i right?
I actually said he deserves the fee. All I was saying is that Demba Ba and Cisse are not appropriate comparisons to say that he could flourish. Agree that Ox is probably the closest comparison in the League right now but was just pointing out that there was still some difference, however, I realized it's even less of a difference than I thought, because stretford77 pointed out that Ox only played in League 1 when he was with the Saints. So, Ox is definitely a good comparison of what he could do.

When did I say he doesn't deserve the fee, Arsenal payed around 15m for Ox, 2-4m plus some add ons for Powell is a good deal imo. Powell has something special about him, yes I agree he is potential there is any players out there that have just turned 18 that are fully established players so im not sure what the OP is expecting.

Powell took League two by storm this season, he certainly has the quality already to play in Legaue One and the Championship but he has huge potential to come into the PL and make an impact, I for one won't be the least suprised to see him making a name for himself in the PL very soon because he is a special talent.

Well thats just it right he has potential... I don't know what the OP wants or Gangster or any of these negative posters. Bale was the same and look at him now as was Ox so why when United buy young players with great potential do our so called fans complain and look to always be negative rather than supportive?

Thats anyone's guess but maybe they should get out more cos this is United legacy and the way we have done business for years.. if in 2-3 years or even sooner he's one of the best talents in the country these same fans will hail SAF for a master signing. I beggars belief the stupidity on here just cos we've not as of yet spend 30 million on one player who only worth half that. We do business the right way plain and simple!

Well, I'm in abit of a dilemma here over Nick Powell's quality!!! who do I trust? SAF or Gangster,,eemmm hard one' " oh well i will trust Gangster, he seems to know his stuff, after all he has watched Powell on utube!!!
btw we all trust Fergie, but the thing is that Fergie is no God,he can be wrong. I dont say he has made the wrong decision but we could have used these qouted 4-8m more productively. I have tried to watch him as much as i can but he seems to lack creativity and skill.just an opinion, not a fact.
Like I said Gangster, I trust you over Fergie and his scouts, and the club who decided to shell out £3MILLION on Powell. You know Gangster, with all your knowledge on footballers, that you accumulate from "UTUBE", I really wish you were running the club I love so much.
    Gangster!!:
    Fergie is no God
He is more of a God to me, than anyother so called GOD!!
thanks for your trust,i admire the fact that you grew up playing with powell so you know how good he is and havent seen him on the net.I really admire the fact that you have been to every match powell has played, hats off to you,Sir.
No No Gangster I never said I seen all of Powell's games, thats why I trust your opinion, "which you got from utube". You should apply for a scouting job with United, with all your "wisdom"!
KEITH UNITED ...GANGSTER IS JUST GIVING HIS OPINION THATS ALL AND U ARE GOING AT HIM LIKE HE IS AN ENNEMI OF MANUTD OR MORE . WHO DO U THINK U ARE ??? STINK
Who do I think I am? I am a Manchester United fan, and I am supporting the new young player they have signed. Listen here, do you honestly agree with what this guy is saying about Powell, having just seen him on "utube", because I don't. Now Fergie is the man who has made some of the biggest names in football "all from raw talent" Beckham and Ronaldo being two of them. I have to go to work, so I won't be able to reply again today, but my mind is made up that you my friend+gangster are idiots, and I am sure anybody on here with any football knowledge will also see that! Now go and start a Modric tread

The Saints do back to back promotions? I didn't realize. Thanks.
    Mhm, good achievement.
Yeah. My head physio for my knee surgery rehab hails from Southampton, big Saints supporter. He's super pumped about their promotion.
I bet, be nice to have them back in PL and they deserve it for the way they have been playing.
