Greatest wow Man Utd really like this guy well he is good but i dont see us signing a CB before rio retires

We never had ample cover last season hence the defensive display against City and later in the season Everton that cost us the title. Smalling is a talent but average at best, so that leaves us with Jones, a player that nobody knows his best position. Evans did well last year, the only one.

I think we do need to buy a defender....Reason I am saying this is because Rio is past his best,Evans is a disgrace in defence,not even close to the quality we need,Smalling and Jones have potential but that wont be for a few seasons,so I say get rid of evans and get a defender that is capable of playing in more than one position along the defence,preferably center half and left back as we need a back up for Evra. I am not saying Dede is the answer but I do think we need to get a proven quality defender.If u have forgotten,the main reason why we didnt win the league or progress in Europe was because of our poor defending. Rio and Evans are not the answer as we saw for the majority of last season. I hate to say this but we lost the title to Man $h!tty because they where defensively more sound then us througout the season.

We don't need Dede. We've got Vidic, Rio, Evans, Jones and Smalling. That's enough cover for 2 positions. We need a CM like everyone knows and I would like to see either Modric or Thiago Alcantara here with the latter my preference.

Dede really isn't that good, at least not yet. He might be class on the ball and a strong defender, but the amount of mistakes he's doing in the Brazilian league is too big.

Rio Ferdinand is no longer the same and i won't be surprised if Fergie sells him in the future.IMO,Fergie will convert Jones into a RB or CM.

Evans is capable of making it here while Smalling is still young and learning.

For next season i expect Vidic and Evans to be our first choice CB. But if Vidic gets injured again,i fear that we'll lack a great leader at the back in the form of Vidic.That's why i would welcome a class CB.

I can see what your saying bud but if we are to sign him we will never find out how good sthe kids we have here could be! I think this will rio's last season so let's see next summer if the others haven't stepped up

One way this could work is if we convert Jones to a DM/CM, I feel that Jones could do really well in the midfield whereas all that energy and attacking threat of his would go to waste as a CB, he has all the attributes required to play a CM, maybe and just maybe he needs to work on his positioning and passing, other than that, I think he is perfect for that role...

As for Dede, I am out of words really, the guy is a beast, he's sort of like a hybrid between Rio and Vidic, reads the game absolutely brilliantly like Rio but is also pretty aggressive in a Vi***ind of manner, other than that, he's really good in the air, saw him against Santos and he gave Neymar a pretty good run for his money, I personally would be really happy if we signed Dede....

people from brazil are saying hes better than silva when silva played for fluminese and hes younger hes rated very highly in brazil but it looks like he will join benfica or milan hes a beast i would love to see him at united alongside vidic but we have jones smalling and evans all looking to succeed rio and vidic we woud have to sell one off them before we get him he reminds me of rio

Gerard Pique and Thiago Silva are currently the worlds best Center Backs.... And there is no need for us to buy any more CB

We dont need any more CBs we have a great amount of cover who are all quite capable & have mega potential. what we need is right back cover incase Rafa gets hurt, & LB cover for when Fabio goes on loan, then the defense is perfectly sorted

why would we want to waste money on a brazillian centre back when we have ample cover there? Rio, Vidic evans Smalling and Jones can all play there so why waste the money?
