Witsel would bring the steel we are lacking at the moment. He's skillfull but has enough steel in him to stop players like Silva, Hazard, Modric, Van der vaart, etc.
We probably doesn't need to buy a creative midfielder now when we've got Kagawa. We still have Carrick and Cleverley for a couple years to come so why pay a h*ll of a lot of money on a player that we doesn't have any resale value?
I think we should look for another year for a replacement for Scholes. Players like Christian Eriksen, Victor Fischer, James Rodriguez, etc will develope and we should really wait and see.
Daniel Levy want at least £35 million pounds for Modric. Is he really worth it? Maybe but what happens if Spurs get at lot of money to spend? They will improve their team and become a stronger force and that is not what United need. We should try to avoid spending big money on players within the same division.
