My midfielders next season Carrick Anderson Powell Modric/Martinez Cleverley Scholes and Giggs(as cover) and hopefully Fletcher if he fully recovers if not then i would sign another midfielder.Pogba i think is leaving.I would promote Petrucci and Tunnicliffe into the first team although i would loan Petrucci out next season.I think Kagawa will play behind Rooney.

At this point in time, the lad is a bruiser, he is strong for his age and he's built like a brick you know what.. The main reason he didn't get in to the dutch team in all honesty is the fact Van Bommel was plowing the gaffers daughter and then you had to fit in, De Jong, VDV, Sneijder, Van Persie, Robben, Huntleear etc in to the team so he was never really going to get an option and De Jong is obviously more experienced than him.

There's no doubt he isn't quite ready yet but he is a diamond in the rough and someone like SAF could make him progress very well, the talent is there, he just needs to be a bit more efficient in using it, for every great pass or great tackle, there's a couple of yellow cards that follow or a horrendous challenge and mis placed pass... In 2/3 years, I think he'll be a very sought after player.

What is prompting people to call for the signing of Strootman? Honest question. Never heard of the guy until a few weeks ago when I began to see people saying we need to sign him up. All I know about him: played one season for PSV, doesn't even have a section for stats on his Wiki page, was in the Dutch Euro squad but didn't get on the pitch in either of the matches I saw.

So, not to be a cynic, but is this just media hype or what?

Here's what I think:

Scholes (cover) Fletcher (whenever he's fully fit) Carrick Giggs (sparingly used in CM) Anderson Cleverley Kagawa (sparingly used in CM) Powell (sparingly used in CM) Petrucci (young player to be integrated into the first team) Pogba (young player to be integrated into the first team) New signing (defensive-minded box-to-box midfielder to rotate with Carrick)

This is what I think will happen, though I doubt it.

I would hope for something like Carrick, New Signing, Cleverley, Scholes, Giggs, Powell, Fletcher, Tunnicliffe.

i dont think we will get strootman.. i think it will take someone special to replace scholes in the starting eleven. Maybe towards the end of the season cleverley/pogba etc One of them might threaten his position. But for me he is still our no1 midfielder by far. Unless we get someone like modric etc. Even then thy will only start ahead of him because of his age

Who do you think are midifelders will be next season?

In my opinion, it is vital that we have two defence minded midfielders, two attack minded midfielders and two or three back ups just encase any injuries were to occur.

My midfielders for next year would be:

Carrick - Defence minded centre midfielder

Strootman - Defence minded centre midfielder

Cleverley - Attack minded centre midfielder

Pogba - Attack minded centre midfielder(If he stays, otherwise keep Anderson)

Scholes - Back Up

Giggs - Back Up

Fletcher - Back Up (if he recovers from ilness)

Due to Anderson's injury problems, athough I think he's a top player, when fit, I think SAF could sell him in Summer.
