    Re: Andrea Pirlo

He is the same as Scholes, If anything Scholes is better. Just because he Dominated a poor english performance in midfield on sunday. No point in buying a 35 year old.

We won't get him now but Juventus got him on a free transfer last summer, why didn't Fergie go for him? He would be the perfect replacement for Scholes. Imagine him and Scholes together. The possession would be like 99-100%.
Why not say that about every good player.

    Re: Andrea Pirlo

great player but he is to old to be considered a replacement for anyone, he is past his peak year(still amazing) and we will only get a few more years out of him until he considered retirement. At the age of 33 he will be settled in italy and happy there with his family, if this was a younger pirlo i would be saying we should buy him or look at him as a midfield option but he is too old now even though he is a fantastic player.
    Paul Scholes our midfield maestro!

How is a 33 year old a replacement ? He would be temporary..... And why do everyone on this forum think that if United want to get a player, they will get him..... I don't think he would want to go to PL.....

He's 32/33 and plays in a slow league. He'd come here and have no time on the ball like he got last night. He wouldn't last 30 minutes a match here.

    Re: Andrea Pirlo

No it wouldn't. We do not use a 3 man midfield. Get that into ur head. And he left Milan cause he had not been in great form, went to Juve and have been immense since. A lucky strike from Juve.

    Re: Andrea Pirlo

Yes you could. It would have allowed Scholes to get forward a lot more.. It wouldn't have worked with a 2 man midfield with just them but I think it could work with a 3 man midfield with someone just infront of them or just behind them so they could go forward. These world-class players could make it work. They aren't selfish enough to make it fail. They are professionals.

You couldnt field them both together because they are very similar in style.
