    Re: Petrucci and Tunnicliffe

I don't mind Tunnicliffe promoted into the first team pool but for me it would be on the bench as a sub where he can show if he has got it with increasing minutes if he has.Would not give him any starts at all unless he did prove to be exceptional. As for Macheda a proven dud imo get rid.

Yesterday , Warren Joyce has confirmed that Joshua King , Micheal Keane & Robbie Brady will be loaned out , but Tunnicliffe may well be around the first team.

    Re: Petrucci and Tunnicliffe

Well Joyce said Tunnicliffe is likely to stay and be promoted to the first team so sub apps, Cup matches and see what happens.

Petrucci needs competitive experience so a loan to the Championship possibly even the PL looks likely.

I think they'll be loaned out, preferably to Premier League teams. Tunnicliffe might go out for the whole season with Petrucci going out for the second half of the season.

That said we have to make sure if they do go out on loan that they are going to get game time, we can't allow what has happened to Macheda to happen to any of our other players if we can help it.

Absolutely right. Regular game time is so essential, it worked wonders with Clev and Welbeck, and tbh I think we'd all like to see the talent that comes from our reserves and academy more regularly.

    Re: Petrucci and Tunnicliffe

I don't think we,ll see much of either of them next season. Tunnicliffes loan was unspectacular and petrucci has only reserve team footy to be judged on. While its nice to see the youngsters get promoted and get games, I just don't see it of these 2, not next season anyway, that is certain. Powell has come in and immediately jumped above both and with the options in midfield I can see no way these 2 will feature next season even in carling cup, there's already too many mids to give games to. If u want my honest opinion I believe that they will ultimately go the same way as James, de laat and norwood and leave the club along with Brady too. Hard as it is to take, this is what will prob happen. They need to b in and around the first team very very soon, if they aren't then u can take it that their future lies elsewhere. U have to b super super special to break into a team like Utd at a young age and these 2 aren't quite that.

Will they go on tour, pre-season..........Hope they do.......
Don't worry, whether they will go on loan this season or not, I have a feeling that Sir Alex is going to bring a lot of youngsters with him on the pre season tour this season. Tunnicliffe, Petrucci, M. Keane, Cole, possibly Lingard and Blackett too will all prob be on the tour. Powell and Kagawa will most likely also be there.

I definitely agree with this idea, tunnicliffe shows great promise and did well last season on loan, Petrucci is CLASS no doubt. I would really like to see them get games under their belts for Utd however a loan switch looks like the best option due to the fact that SAF doesnt want to take any chances with city looking stronger each day.

    Re: Petrucci and Tunnicliffe

I would love to see them in the cups for us and against the likes of Wigan, QPR, etc and see how the do. I think Tunnicliffe most likely to stay a season at OT and maybe go on loan in the Premier league next season. Petrucci will be in the first team at least until December and then maybe go on loan to get more experience. The only problem with sending players on loan is that United can't controll their training or how matches they will featuring in. I think that United should demand that they got at least 20 starts on a season long loan or else they will have to pay a fee on like 25% of the players value. Look at Macheda, didn't feat in at samdoria and qpr. It was a waste of time and it's not fair to the player. It has to change, who wants go on loan when they can't promise that you will play.

I think Tunnicliffe will stay while Petrucci will go out on loan but all im saying is that i think both should be promoted to the first team squad and given more first team games aswell as us signing players i always like to see top talent like these coming through and make a name for themselves know what i mean.

Quite devastating what happened to kiko, it's certainly put his progression back 2 years and god knows what else to his confidence and mentality towards the game. We can hope its spurs him on to prove himself even further I suppose, great motivation to put in the extra hard work in pre season mind, mic he makes it that far of course. Would be a good option to have around with berb and Owen departing and may save the need for a new striker along with Keanes return close to the new year. Tuni impressed on loan lat year so maybe not completely necessary to send him out again especially with the way our mid turned out last year and no guarantee of strengthening there. May get his shot.

I do think we need that top class CM like Modric but i would also promote these 2 brilliant talents to the first team they deserve it.I have high hopes for them and i hope SAF gives them first tae games along with Powell next season. Its always nice to see young players come through here.
Got to agree, I too like to watch the next generation, that's one reason I enjoy the carling cup - you get to see the odd youth paired with some current first teamers. Was gutted at how he didn't give many a shot in last years poor run. Personally mate would prefer someone younger but as I said before, it may well hamper the likes of Tunis progression so a hard one. Just ont fancy seeing us spend 30M+ on a 27YO who may only produce similar form to last year....I know it's the same situation with any player we buy but his age holds him back in this instance compared to a younger lad still learning their trade IMO. You may say a player like Allen would be a risk considering how relatively inexperienced he is whereas Modric has proven class - puzzler ey lol
I know it is a puzzler but if we signed a top class central midfielder like Modric we can still bring through our youngsters and develop them without relying far too much on them know what i mean while Modric can play on for a few more years yet.
