milky72:Morning guys,
1st post so please be kind...
Have supported UTD for 35 years and it always makes me laugh every year at the amout of posters who clamer for us to spend BIG every summer. What I am confident about is the fact that every season we go into we go in with the unique United spirit regardless of who we sign. Kagawa is a sensational signing, and just cause he is not a MEGASTAR does not detract from what he will bring to us. As well as that we will see an improved De Gea, Jones, Smalling etc.
I think we do need a midfielder, but you can be sure that SAF has someone in mind who will add to the team. Big names dont always ie Veron.
So, all of us should realise that regardless who we sign or not, we should be confident for one reason. We have something others dont. Sir Alex.
Completely agree. But that cm signing is worrying me if I am honest. It's not a matter of big-name or spending big, it's a matter of reinforcing an area where weaknesses have been revealed. I personally don't care how much is spent on a player (for instance, I had been begging for Kagawa for almost two years now, and in my books he is one of the best signing we have ever made), but I would care if we didn't reinforce our cm, which imo remains our only area of concern.
Yes, some people are crying for a Modric, a Martinez, etc. and I guess none of us would mind them. But as far as I am concerned, I would be equally satisfied with an unknown or low-profile player who would nonetheless do the job. But we need someone to do the job.
