Re: I'm Looking forward to Berbatov next season, Here's why

We all know how well Rooney and Welbeck did at Euro2012. But Berba is gone. Sooner or later his temper will snap or he will just get discouraged and say heck with it.

SAF dosent mind Berbatov staying, its whether Berbatov wants to go. Berbatov wants more first team and considering he was top scorer 2 seasons ago he deserved more game time last season. With Rooney, Chicharito & Welbeck, SAF would love to have him as a backup. Berbatov provides something different his touch, flicks and control is top class. He can score goals when given the chance. Just maybe he might stay and play more next season to help us get the trophy back!
No no no no no, SAF said that Berbatov will go on the preseason tour, but SAF will still sell him.

SAF said that Berba will be going on tour, is an exceptional player and is part of his plans. Berba WILL go on the tour, will prove that he still has it in him to play and score, then SAF will sell him. I think the problem that we faced selling him is that he played too little last season, so maybe the team that want to bid for him want to see if he is match fit still. Berba IS an exceptional player and selling him is part of SAF's plans
If Berbatov can link up with kagawa and perform brilliantly during the tour, he will stay. SAF wants fast and quick paced football, admittedly Berbatov cannot fit into this plan, however, he does provide a solid plan B. Football with a slower, more controlled pace for when we need to see out games.
Red_smith, You misunderstood with what SAF said. He said that Berbatov will go on tour, but SAF will still sell Berbatov.

If he isn't selected then what can he do,
Leave and go to a club where they actually use him?
    City bought the title
City have ruined football with the money

We need to buy Falcao Lucas and Modric though

No player should be slagged off in the manner that you have with Berbatov.
I have no respect for people with no ambition, who put in no effort during games and from reports, is happy to take a wage when he clearly isn't wanted,
Because of his style of player doesn't equate to lack of ambition. He would not have chose United over City if he had no ambition. Your comment about happy to take a wage when he clearly isn't wanted- is your take on it. If he isn't selected then what can he do,

Compare this "fine" to 2010-2011 when Berbatov played major role and think again...
The competition ( City) got more points and scored more? Had nothing to do with Berbatov- Manchester United scored more and got more points without the flop.

Stupid Logic but thats to be expected from Berbatov fanboy.
You are obviously not a United supporter. You are only posting to stir things up
No i'm tired of Berbatov and his followers.
I can not understand your logic at all, and total disrespect for Berbatov. even Fergie hs said again what a talented player he is. The venom that you are showing towards Berbatov is unjust. He hasn't done a bad job for us. as i stated before, the majority of supporters admired him when he was at Spurs, and were chuffed when his proposed transfer to City was hijacked. it was hardly his fault that Fergie decided to go with Rooney, welbeck and Hernandez last season. I am an admirer of Berbatovs skills but also can see that he does not fit into the system/ way of play that Fergie is trying to use. No player should be slagged off in the manner that you have with Berbatov. I bet you hated Veron as well

I've read that Berbatov wants to run his contract down and leave on a free, that way when he goes to his new club he will earn more wages because his club won't have to pay a transfer fee. If this is true i hope he never plays for us again, i understand a player wants to earn all he can but this is the action of a mercenary.

As exasperating as a player as he is, on his day there was no denying his talent, but if he'd rather stay and get no game time then SAF should stick him in the reserves.

Aye, I wonder how many club would pay big wages to a 33 year old has been after a season with the reserves/playing Carling cup with the kids.
